New Years Eve Charcuterie Board

Hi friends! I still can't believe this year is almost over, but I have to say...I don't know about you, but I'm feeling (20) 22 :) Hannah and I worked on another super fun board to share with y'all, just in time for NYE! But honestly, whatever festivity you have into the new year, this board would be perfect! It contains lots of fun things: sweet & savory, fortune cookies, cookies, espresso coffee beans (for staying up to ring in the new year haha), Hershey (midnight) kisses, Rolo candies, cheeses and more! I also found this bomb strawberry champagne jam that pairs perfectly with the Brie cheese (I don't recommend eating it alone). So, pairing the jam with the brie is ideal! I'll show details of the board, and below the photos, there will be a list of everything we used on the board. I'll also link the number dishes (would be great for birthdays and anniversaries as well), our large board, etc. And if you're a visual learner like I am, check out my Instagram for a step-by-step reel of this board.

Christmas Baking Board + Ten Christmas Baking Ideas

Hi friends and happy Tuesday! Today I have a board that's a little different from the usual charcuterie I share. Last week, Hannah, Madeline and I got together for some baking. After all of our baking was completed and cooled, we decided to arrange it all onto a wood board, to create a spectacular display of our festive baking creations. It turned out SO cute!! I think this is a great idea if you're needing to take a dessert to an event. I always LOVE doing some Christmas baking. I'm always in charge of the desserts in my family, so I usually will bring an assortment of Christmas baked goods to our Christmas Eve celebration. Arranging them all onto a board makes for a beautiful display, yet still carries on that cozy Christmas baking feel. If you're more or a visual learner like I am, check out my Instagram for a reel showing a how-to for this board.

If you want to fine the list of everything we baked on this board, keep scrolling down for each sweet + the link or directions needed.

Rice Krispie Treats

Four Cups of Large Marshmallows
Half a Stick of Butter
Four Squares of Vanilla Candy Coating
Six Cups of Rice Krispie Cereal

The measurements listed above are for a single batch, but I always double to have a little more to go around. First, microwave the first ingredients for two minutes. Take the mixture out and give it a stir. Tip: spray your spatula down with bakers joy, butter or some other nonstick spray to keep the mixture from sticking to the spatula. Microwave for one and a half more minutes. Stir in cereal. Press into a greased dish (I always use a 9/12 pyrex dish). Add sprinkles, if desired. Let cool. Enjoy :)

Molasses Cookies

I used this recipe! They were SO yummy and everyone approved of them. My dad is a molasses cookie connoisseur, and he said he could have eaten the whole batch. I do love my molasses cookies to have a nice spice to them, so when I bake these again,  I may add a dash more ginger and cinnamon.

Fudge

Three Cups of Sugar
One and a Half sticks of Butter
2/3 Cup of Evaporated Milk
16oz of Chocolate Chips (Mostly milk chocolate with a dash of semi-sweet)
Small Jar of Marshmallow Fluff
One Tsp. of Vanilla Flavoring
One Tsp. of Almond Flavoring
Nuts (optional)

This fudge recipe is hands-down awesome!!! I think it's because of the marshmallow cream. To make, Bring the evaporated milk, butter and sugar to a boil over the stove, in a medium saucepan. Stir continuously and continue to stir for 3-4 minutes after boiling. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate chips until melted. Add vanilla, Almond and Marshmallow Cream. Stir in nuts, if desired. Pour into a greased pan and let cool before cutting.

Fruitcake Cookies

Hannah used this recipe! If you're a fruitcake-lover, these cookies are a must. They're a perfectly festive presentation as well.

Reeses Cup Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: Use your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, or buy some slice-and-bake for an easier option
Reeses Peanut Butter Cups

Grease a muffin tin and add roughly a tablespoon sized scoop of dough to each. Bake as directed for the dough. While baking, unwrap each reeses candy piece. Immediately upon taking cookies out of over, press a candy piece into cookie. Allow to cool, then use a spoon to gently scoop each cookie out. Best if refrigerated, IMO :)

Snowball Cookies

These were probably my favorite out of everything we made! I used this recipe. I did add a a teaspoon of almond extract to mine, and I'm SO glad I did! That extra flavor was big! I was also able to buy my chopped pecans already toasted. I think having them toasted does make a huge difference as well.

Christmas Trash Snack Mix

Two bags of white chocolate chips OR ten squares of white vanilla candy coating
One 16oz bag of mini pretzels
A few handfuls of M&Ms (red & green make for a festive presentation), Marshmallows, Peanuts and Chex Cereal (or whatever yummy edition you'd like to add).

Melt Candy coating (or chocolate chips) in microwave safe bowl. In a large ziplock bag, pour in cereals, most of the M&Ms, pretzels and peanuts. Zip up the bag and shake well. Open bag and pour in melted candy coating (or white chocolate chips).  Zip bag once again and shake very well until mixture is coated. Spread out on parchment paper to cool. Top with remainder of M&Ms.

Christmas Crack

These are so easy and yummy! Hannah used this recipe. Highly recommend!

Santa Hat Brownies

3 M's Brownie Recipe (if you don't have time to make brownies from scratch, I love this mix):

2 sticks of softened butter
4 Tablespoons of Cocoa powder
2 Cups of sugar
1 1/4 Cups of All Purpose Flour
4 Large Eggs
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon of Almond Extract

Mix butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Add in flour and cocoa. Add in flavors. Bake at 350˚ for 25 minutes.

After completely cooled, use a circular cutter to make circles out of brownies (I used the 1.5 inch scallop cutter from this set).

Cream Cheese Frosting:

One Stick of Butter (Room temp.)
One Bar of Cream Cheese (Room Temp.)
One Box of Powdered Sugar
One Teaspoon of Vanilla

Mix first three ingredients. Add Vanilla. Place in a piping bag.

Right before serving brownies, slice off the stem and tip of a strawberry. Place on top of circular brownie bite. Pipe around base of strawberry with cream cheese. Top off the tip of strawberry with cream cheese for a pom pom look.

Haystacks

One Package of Butterscotch Chips
1/2 Cup of Creamy Peanut Butter
One Ten Ounce Bag of Chow Mein Noodles

Melt Butterscotch chips in microwave for 30 seconds, stir and place back in for a few seconds if not melted. Stir in peanut butter until smooth. Add in chow mein noodles and mix well. Drop heaping tablespoon amounts onto parchment paper and allow to cool (best if overnight).

Christmas Themed Charcuterie Board

Hi friends and happy Tuesday! I'm back today with another fun charcuterie board to share with y'all. Over the weekend, Hannah and I worked on a cheese/snack board for our family to enjoy for some together time and watching football. The turnout of the SEC championship may have been a disappointment, but this charcuterie board certainly wasn't haha. Anyways, I wanted to share the final product and everything we used on the board! We did end up putting together a pretty large board as we had a larger crowd to enjoy it. You could definitely do it in a smaller scale, or not incorporate every element we used. I'm going to list out everything we used on this board at the end of this post. I loved starting out with this bruschetta candy cane as the focal point of the board. I'll also be posting a reel to my Instagram, for a step-by-step process, if you're more of a visual learner like I am. I also have more charcuterie boards featured in my reels + "charcuterie" highlight on my IG. I hope y'all enjoy :)

Thanksgiving Day Charcuterie Board

Hi friends! I'm excited to be back with another fun and festive charcuterie board idea for y'all. Hannah and I played around with a Thanksgiving Day inspired cheese board this past weekend. We had seen an idea to shape a turkey out of the meats and cheeses and wanted to put our own spin on it all. It turned out SO cute!

I will list all of the meats, cheeses and crackers we used at the end of this post. But we ended up shaping the body of the turkey out of Hannah's signature cheese ball that has proven to be a family favorite. It's so easy as well! I'll share how to make that as well. One other little detail I added that turned out SO cute...the pumpkin pie slices (made of cheese and crackers, of course). I'll list the directions for them as well. And if you're more of a visual learner like I am, head over to this reel over on my IG for a tutorial of this board. You can also catch a little "how to" of the pumpkin pie pieces under my "charcuterie" highlight on IG.
