Hi friends! I hope your Monday and new week is off to a great start :) I don't know about y'all, but I'm so ready for fall! It's still feels like summer, that's for sure. But the thought that October (one of my two favorite months of the year) us just a little over a month away, makes me so excited. I was feeling like I never wanted to let go of summer, but now I'm just so excited for cooler temps and all the fun festivities of fall that Madeline and I love. I get so excited just thinking about it!
With that being said, I've officially hit the excited to dress for fall point in the year haha. I'm looking for pieces that I can pair with shorts not, wear without layering now, etc. but can pair with jeans and boots, layer with cardigans and jackets and style for cooler temps a few weeks from now. Walmart is one of my three go-to stores to shop at for cute, affordable pieces. I've rounded up some super cute pieces, for now and later, to share with y'all today. Let's get started!
Hi friends! Y'all have probably heard by now, but it's time for the 2020 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It's happening a little bit later this year, but in all honesty I'm all for it being later (we're a whole month closer to being able to wear the new fall pieces haha).
I thought I'd just start off sharing a little bit about the sale in case you're new to it. Each year Nordstrom hosts this sale (their Anniversary sale), and it's one to get excited over because the pieces going on sale are brand new arrivals for pre-fall and fall. But instead of starting off full price, they hit the site at a discounted price and go back up to regular price after the sale. But yes, the items on the sale are brand new fall 2020 arrivals. This sale is a great opportunity to stock up on some new fall basics for the upcoming season. The sale goes live on Tuesday August 4th. The way Nordstrom does this sale (which I'm honestly not crazy about) is that the sale first opens to Nordstrom cardholders. For the first few days, the sale is only available to certain level cardholders, and then it opens to all cardholders August 13th. If you are not a cardholder, you can start shopping the sale August 19th. Prices go back up on August 31st. With what I've seen from past sales, all the good pieces tend to sell out pretty quickly, unfortunately. If you're not a cardholder and would like to shop the sale early, you can sign up here! I so wish they would just open the sale to the public from the get-go (or at least to all cardholders at the very beginning and to the public at the start of all cardholders) but oh well. Nonetheless, it's always an awesome sale! I'll share the dates for everyone to shop below:
There's one more change to mention for this year, which is one I really like! Instead of getting a hardcopy of the look book in the mail, you can preview the entire look book online! But what's even more exciting is that you can go ahead and build your wishlist (whether you're a cardholder or not!). Normally it's such a mad dash to view the sale and checkout, but this year, you can just hop on your sale wishlist, add the items to your cart and checkout. Items may tend to sell out even more quickly this way but I think overall it will be a much smoother shopping process. I've gone through the entire look book and have rounded up my favorites in each category for y'all :) So, if you see an item you like (no matter when you can shop), I would go ahead and click through, add the color/size/quantity you want to your wishlist and be ready to go for when you can shop.
Now for the best part, here are my favorites to share with y'all! This year, I'm mostly going to be sticking to the basics. In all honesty, I can't get too excited over a cardigan that's ON SALE for more than what I normally pay for my clothes (at regular price) haha. What gets me most excited though are the shoes! I've found in past years that I get the bulk of my fall boots and booties from this sale, as well as some great pairs for Madeline. I also hope to get a new handbag for fall, some dainty necklaces, some of the lipstick/gloss sets, maybe a new pair of jeans for fall, my favorite go-to tees that I layer with everything and wear all year long (on sale for $12), and a barefoot dreams throw. I'm back and excited to share some more back to school finds with Walmart :) Whether you're shopping for back to school finds or just great pieces for the upcoming season, Walmart has you covered. Walmart is one of my very favorite places to shop for both myself and Madeline. Whether you've got children in kindergarten, elementary, middle or high school, there are finds for all age ranges! Also, whether your kids are going in person, doing virtual learning or homeschooling, Walmart has all the finds you need from clothing to backpacks and school supplies. What I love about Walmart's fashion finds for Madeline is that they're always coming out with the cutest pieces and latest trends for the season. Their shoe selection is pretty much amazing (see the finds I've rounded up below) and my very favorite jeans for Madeline are the Wonder Nation jeans from Walmart (available for both boys and girls). And if you're a teacher or college student shopping for yourself, Walmart has you covered as well. I love finding cute pieces for Madeline that hold up well (she can be rough on hers haha!) but don't cost more than what I spend on my own pieces.
