What do I like to shop for in this sale? I tend to focus on the closet staples. I will say, most of the clothing at Shopbop is more expensive than what I like to pay for clothing. I have found some amazing under $100 pieces in the past (and also rounded up some for y'all today, as well), but shoes, bags, sunglasses and jeans are what I love to focus on in this sale. I can justify spending more on shoes and accessories than clothing, especially if they're some I will get a lot of use out of. I actually purchased mostly shoes today. But I also like to invest in a new pair of designer jeans, which I did as well. I'll share more on what I purchased below.

SO many good pieces, right?! Which one do you love the most? As I mentioned, I also wanted to share what I picked up for myself in the sale. I wasn't lying when I said that I focus on shoes haha, because I purchased four pairs! Two of them, I have a feeling will be closet staples all spring and summer long! I first purchased the Lora Platform Espadrilles. They are so cute!!! I know being white with a natural heel, I'll get a ton of use out of them. I also love a good platform shoe. Next up, I purchased the Glorya Platform Sandal. Again, being cognac, I'll get so much use out of these! I think they'll be one of those pairs of shoes I'll just reach for to wear with everything. Both the Lora and Glorya are perfection! I also purchased the Futuro Ankle Strap Sandal in fuchsia. I had a pair of hot pink sandals a few years ago and got SO much use out of them. I adore the clear strap and translucent heel on this pair. I simply adore them! For the last pair of shoes, I purchased these pink pretties!!! I mean, I simply couldn't resist this shade of pink. I have several Sam Edelman sandals that are similar in style to these, and I wear them all the time! They're seriously the most trustworthy shoes haha. I have a feeling this shade of pink will match with so much! I'm actually planning to wear them this weekend to some wedding festivities for my sister's wedding.  

I also purchased two pieces of clothing, both will be closet staples. First up, I purchased a new pair of white jeans. This time, I've decided to give the Charlie crop jeans a try. I'm 5'2, so I usually prefer a 25 or 26 inch inseam. These have a 26 inch inseam, so I think they'll be perfect! They look very soft and fitted, as well. I'm so excited to try them! I also purchased this chambray ruffle skirt. I just love it!!! I can already think of so many ways to style it. It's under $80 before the sale, so definitely a great buy. You simply can't go wrong with chambray!

Hello friends and happy Friday! Today I'm so excited to share my first spring look with y'all for this year. Hurry up spring! If you've been following me for awhile, you probably know there are a few details in clothing that I simply can't resist, and this top I'm wearing here consists of a few of them! If you guessed eyelet and scallops, then you're correct! Y'all know that I also love mustard yellow and a good wrap top! This yellow eyelet wrap top I'm wearing here checks all the boxes, which is why I just had to have it! It's simply adorable! It also comes in black and is under $100. I'm wearing the XS for size reference. I also plan to pair it with white jeans closer into spring and shorts during the summer, so I'll be getting a ton of use out of this one :)

Next up, I have to mention my new jeans! Being 5'2, it's not always the easiest to find a good pair that won't need altering. These however, are AMAZING! This brand of jeans is my favorite, non-designer, pair that has the quality of my designer pair jeans! I have several Topshop pairs and LOVE them all! If you were to ask me for a recommendation on a great pair of jeans that doesn't drain your bank account, I'd recommend Topshop in a heartbeat. They do run a tad small, and I usually go up a size in Topshop jeans. I'm wearing the 26x30 here. But these are high waisted and so so good. I love the distressing around the ankles so much!

The last thing I want to mention today are my new wedges. Again, my love for a good scallop detail haha. These are just gorgeous, such high quality and I have a feeling will go with so much since mustard yellow is everywhere for spring! They also come in black and leopard (which I also ordered). I recommend going down one size as they run a little large and stretch with wear. 

I hope y'all have an amazing weekend! This is our last weekend before my sister's wedding. Such a fun week ahead next week! And so much to do with so little time. We have been putting all the final details on everything, touching base with all vendors (I can''t count how many emails I've sent out today haha), final dress fitting, my sister's hair and makeup trial...so much going on! But I LOVE it! I can't believe my sister is getting married ONE WEEK from tomorrow! Ahhhh!

Dreaming of Spring: Favorite Spring Arrivals

Happy Tuesday, friends!! Now that Valentine's Day is over, I am in full on spring mode! The weather may be crazy right now, but I'm ready to say bye to cold weather. Yesterday it was 75 degrees and sunny here...so amazing and a fabulous touch of spring! Today, however, it's 45 degrees and rainy...not sure how it can go from such a drastic change haha. But I'm officially prepping my closet for all things spring. That includes maxi dresses, easy shifts, cute swimwear, sandals, statement earrings and more! I can't wait to start sharing all of this with you.

Since the weather was so nice yesterday, we went out and shop two spring inspired posts that I'll be sharing this week. But I thought I'd kick the week off by sharing some of my favorite new arrivals for spring. Let's get started, shall we?!

I'll start with the shoes. I purchased every pair I've included in today's post. Obsessed would be an understatement haha! I actually shot #8 for an outfit post yesterday. I fell in love with this pair. #8 is the prettiest scallop wedge sandal! It also comes in black and a leopard print (which is SO cute). They do run a tad large, so go down half a size! I also could not resist #12 and #13...the prettiest little scalloped sandal! I got them in both white and pink, but they come in a handful of colors. I was so excited to find #7, because they remind me of a much more expensive designer pair that was a HUGE hit last year! They're absolutely too cute!

I also own this yellow eyelet wrap top! It's the cutest thing!!! It will also be coming to Something Delightful this week :) It comes in black as well. These jeans are also a new purchase for spring. They're amazing! I love the distressed detail at the ankles. I'm 5'2 and purchased the size 26Wx30L, and they fit perfectly! I also want to mention this color block maxi dress. It's absolutely darling! It runs TTS. I can't wait to wear it once it officially warms up.

Valentine's Day 2019 + My Thoughts on Valentine's Day

Hello Friends and Happy Valentine's Day!! Of course on Love Day, we're wearing our favorite pom pom heart cardigans. Madeline always says reminds me that "hearts mean I love you!" So that is just another reason why I love them so much :) We have these cardigans in four colors, and we are usually matching in them. But this time, I decided to alternate colors with our looks, and I just love the way it turned out! I have the pale pink cardigan with lavender underneath. And Madeline has her lavender cardigan with pink underneath. Speaking of lavender, trust me when I say y'all need this this top! It's more than amazing and comes in five colors. It's longer in the front and in the back, and cuts up on the sides. The material is on the thinner side, so you can easily knot it in the front as I have here, or front-tuck it. It's just the best top ever and a great one to get you into spring.

I also wanted to share a little message with y'all on valentine's Day. Basically, it's my take on this holiday, if you will haha. This morning, I asked Madeline why we celebrated today. She said, "Because it's a day to let everyone know how much I love them!". I thought her answer was so sweet. And so true! 

I feel like a lot people have hard feelings torward February 14th. And it is usually because of feelings from not having a significant other or a date planned tonight. When you look at the commercial view of the holiday, it is so easy to think that! Or maybe it goes much deeper than that for you, as the hurt comes from loosing someone very special to you that you would usually spend this holiday with. I'll be honest, I went through a period where I felt the same feelings on this holiday too. But being a mama has taught me to much more to this!

As many of y'all know, I'm a single mom. I don't really have anything planned for tonight, but goodness I wouldn't have it any other way!!! Madeline is my valentine, forever and always, so a chill night with her sounds absolutely amazing to me! 

Here's what I'm getting at. I want YOU to know today that you are SO loved!!! Don't ever let anyone make you feel otherwise. If this holiday makes you feel left out of the loop, don't let it! Think of all those around you that fill your heart and life with so much joy. Let them know just how much you love them today. Then, think of all those that truly love you. You are a jewel! There is absolutely no one else like you. You are unique and beautiful. Embrace that! Embrace yourself. Let your confidence shine through and be proud of who you are in Christ. That leads me to one more idea of love to celebrate today. And more importantly, this is one that is absolutely 100% worth celebrating every day! Yes, this is God's love for YOU! Someone who would give His only son to die for you! Someone who longs for your attention. Someone who will hold your hand through every single walk of life. Someone who cares about every little details in your life and is knitting your life into a beautiful picture that is unique for you. A life story that belongs entirely to You! And although it may be difficult to see at times, it is built on His indescribable love for you. So, so much to celebrate, friends!

You may be in a season right now where things just seem...slow! It may feel like everyone else has it all together and you're just sitting in the back seat waiting. Well, you just wait! Never underestimate what God can do in your life. But goodness does He love YOU so. very. much. Don't let the (silliness, to be honest) of this, what is portrayed to be, a "romantic" holiday fool you. There's so much more to it than chocolates, roses, a hot dates, etc. Think of all those who you have to love. Think of all those who love you. Embrace and love yourself, be proud of who you are in Christ! And most importantly, rejoice in His love for you! 

Well, that's my take on this Valentine's Day :) If y'all have anything else you'd like to add, I'd love to hear it! Just remember, you are a jewel, more precious than rubies (Proverbs 3:15)!

The Perfect Dress For Valentine's Day - Pink & Red Bow Dress

Hello and friends and happy Tuesday! I hope y'all are having a great start to the new week. We had such a busy weekend, and I took yesterday to try and recover some. We drove back from Nashville on Sunday, and the drive was extra tiring! But we had such a good time! Myself, my mom and Madeline had so much fun exploring and basically eating our way through Nashville haha. We ate some of the BEST meals ever! I had also planned my sister's bachelorette weekend in Nashville, so I kind of flip flopped back and forth between my mom and Madeline and my sister and her friends to spend some time celebrating the Bride! :)  

Anyways, I'm SO excited to be sharing the most perfect Valentine's Day look with you all today. I basically look like a walking Valentine haha, but I'm not complaining one bit :) I absolutely love all things Valentines...pink and red, hearts and all things feminine and fun! There's so much to love about this look. 

Let me first start off with THIS DRESS! I mean, if it doesn't match the definition of perfection, I don't know what does. It is just the prettiest thing EVER! I adore this sweet shade of pink and the red bow is just the perfect touch! What's great about this dress is that the red bow is removable. So, after Valentine's Day, you can remove the bow and have a gorgeous pink dress. This dress runs TTS, but is on the longer side. I had it shortened about an inch and a half (I'm 5'2, for reference). But if you're not a pink girl, no worries because this perfect dress also comes in the prettiest blue with a navy bow and this gorgeous mint green with a white bow!

I have it paired with my favorite nude pumps and these adorable earrings that have my HEART (see what I did there, haha?). I also have these pretty earrings in pink. I absolutely love Kristina, the shop owner and designer of these earrings. They come in both clips and posts. I'll definitely be wearing these cuties after Valentine's Day :)

Hello friends and happy Thursday! I hope y'all are having a great day so far. We arrived in Nashville last night! I'm excited to do some exploring. This is my first time visiting Nashville, and I've heard so many things about how cute it is. I'm so excited! 

Today I wanted to share what is probably one of my last wintery look with y'all :) I actually shot this look a few weeks ago and decided I had to share it mainly because of this sweater. If you're looking for a lighter colored sweater that is SO versatile and will get you through the remainder of the winter, this one is it! I purchased it about two months ago and have gotten SO much wear out of it. I love how it is longer in length. I'm 5'2 and love that I can wear it as a sweater dress. It is actually even a little long for me to wear it as a dress, so I decide to belt it. I just love the way it looks! If you're on the taller side, it would look amazing paired with jeans or wear it as a tunic over leggings. There are so many options for wearing this sweater, and it's under $50.

I decided to pair it with the gorgeous scarf, that's on sale for $22. I brought out the pink in it by adding in these hot pink tassel earrings. These are the best things, and they come in four colors!
