Hello Friends! I'm SO excited to share my first gift guide of the holiday season. I know it's not even Thanksgiving, but I like to get a jump start on my Christmas shopping. Christmas will be here before we know it!

I'm starting off my gift guides with one of my very favorites: 50 Gifts Under $50! I did this exact same guide last year and received really positive feedback from y'all. I also asked what types of gift guides y'all would like to see over on my Instagram Stories last week, and it was requested that I do this one again for this year. It took me hours upon hours to put together, but I LOVE all the fun pieces included in this guide. I also can't believe how many adorable, amazing gifts you can get for under $50. Yes, please!

Above I've included all types of items under in the under $50 range. I know these are pretty much all gifts for her, but don't worry, I'll have a huge guide for the guys up next week as that was my most requested guide of all! Above I have also included a bunch of gifts that you can pair together and still end up with an under $50 gift. For example, the notecards (#49 and #50) paired with the gold pen set (#46) would be such a cute gift for someone who writes a lot of notes or just loves cute notecards in general, like I do haha.

I've also shared some my very favorite and highly recommended items that are under $50. I'm so excited that my favorite single cup coffee maker is under $50! I use this thing every single day and have been using it for well over a year now. It's AMAZING and makes the best coffee ever! You could pair the coffee maker with a cute mug for an amazing under $50 gift. I also own this faux fur vest which is amazing and under $50! My very favorite lip gloss by Becca is now available in a limited edition holiday set for under $50. By favorite plush throw in the whole entire world is also under $50 and comes in a ton of colors. Also under $50 are my favorite earrings probably of all time. These adorable bow earrings are under $50! Mine just came in two days ago. They are available in bow black and gold. I opted for the black since they are available in clips as well as a post (my ears are super sensitive). But the gold are gorgeous as well. They're called the "Madeline Earrings", so naturally I had to have them. I also have this gold ceramic elephant that's under $50 and absolutely love it!

A few of my other favorites that I want to mention and can't believe are under $50 are these leopard heels, these monogrammed sneakers, this monogrammed candle, this adorable clock, these leopard slippers, this gold scallop charger set (it comes with four) and this fallen petals bracelet. I can't get over how many amazing things you can get for under $50. This guide just makes me so happy :)

I hope y'all have a great Saturday! Thank you so much for stopping by. And one other thing to mention, a lot of these items will be most likely be going on sale within the next two weeks with Black Friday and all the sales starting up. So be sure to bookmark this page and check back as all the amazing sales start up!

Happy Thursday, friends! I hope y'all have been having a great week! I can't believe we are already to Thursday. But tomorrow is Friday, so who is complaining haha :) I don't know where this week has gone! I feel like I blinked and now it is Thursday. It has just been so incredibly busy, and I am just now getting up my first post for the week. I think it may be the time change? I don't know about y'all but I have had such a hard time adjusting to it. Overall, I'm so excited for the weekend!

Now for a little bit on today's look. Y'all know that I absolutely love leopard. My love for leopard just increases by the day it seems haha. Anyways, I found this pretty little sweater and just had to have it. It is currently on sale for $47 with the code GMJOY30. I can't tell y'all just how amazing the quality is as well. I love the fact that it's one size fits all. It also comes in a beige and a purple leopard print, which is so fun! I love the slouchy fit of this sweater and the colors are absolute perfection! Although you have to be a little patient with the shipping from this store, it is quickly becoming one of my very favorites to shop at. I also love how it looks paired with a black cord skirt. I found this skirt for myself after I found this darling black cord skirt for Madeline! I simply couldn't resist this one for her. I love finding tiny pieces for her then setting out to find a matching one for myself. It's such a fun challenge haha.

I also love Madeline's skirt paired with her fuzzy little sweater. It comes in a handful of colors. She kept petting it and saying how soft it is. She was hugging it in one of the photos above haha. I love how much her sassiness came out in these photos.

Thanks so much for stopping by y'all! Be sure to stop back by here tomorrow, because I am kicking off the holiday season with my first gift guide! I'm SO excited for all things Christmas. Tomorrow is going to be a good one, so you don't want to miss it. If you have any specific gift guide requests, be sure to send them my way as I am working on putting them together now.

Have a great Thursday!

Happy Friday friends!! So excited for the weekend, because decorating for Christmas can finally begin! I know some wait until after Thanksgiving to even begin thinking about Christmas, but for me, I need more than a month to enjoy Christmas. I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying both Thanksgiving and Christmas at the same time. I absolutely love Christmas and believe it really is the most wonderful time of the year. So much effort goes into preparing for it, so I need more than a month to enjoy it. Ahh I'm so excited! Madeline has been asking to get her tree out, and I'm most definitely doing that this weekend. I have also been finding some of the cutest ornaments for her. Christmas ornaments are basically her favorite thing in the world. Christmas music also came on the radio yesterday, and it has been playing non-stop. But I do love the month of November so much. There's so much to look forward to. November is also my birthday month, so I'm excited about that as well.

Today I'm sharing a really fun mommy and me look that is perfect for fall in every single way. I love color block details. I also love pink and burgundy paired together. I found this adorable velvet color block dress for Madeline that I absolutely adore! I think it's more than perfect for now and you can also make it festive for the upcoming holidays, since it's velvet. These little scallop booties pair with it perfectly. Also, this shop is where I get my very favorite bows for her from. I just ordered about seven more that are so pretty for the upcoming holidays!

The color block sweater I'm wearing was a find from my local H&M store. I fee like what I find at our local store isn't always available online. However, I did find a few similar color block styles that are all super affordable. This sweater is pink and burgundy and only $35. Also, my OTK boots that I have raved about time and time again for currently 30% off with the code "GMJOY30". They also come in black and grey. I am ordering the black while they're on sale.

I hope y'all have an amazing Friday and weekend. Thanks for stopping by :)

"Little Miss Muffet she sat on her Tuffet,
eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider who sat down beside her
and frightened Miss Muffet away."

Hello friends and Happy November! I absolutely can't believe October is over and we are now into November. It's another one of my favorite months for sure :) I know Halloween is over and we are already into November, but I just had to share more of our Halloween costumes on here with y'all. I always like to keep it a surprise when sharing our costumes on my Instagram on Halloween night. So I'm keeping it a tradition to share them on my blog the next day. It was such an amazing Halloween. Madeline had so much fun, and I would for sure say it was the best one yet.

As y'all can see, our theme for this year was Little Miss Muffet. It all started when I found this amazing tarantula costume for Jaycee. It's SO cute! Some said it scared them half to death haha, but I think it's just hilarious. The best part is when she walks, especially when she walks really fast. The legs move so quickly that it actually looks like a giant spider walking across the floor haha.

So once I found this costume for Jaycee, I started thinking of ideas for our theme because I just had to get this spider costume. That's when Little Miss Muffet came to mind. And this these honestly could not be any more fitting. I then found this absolutely adorable Little Miss Muffet costume for Madeline. I ran the idea by her, and she loved it. Madeline has always loved Little Miss Muffet and can say it by heart. The spider costume got her laughing as well. Then I figured I could be the spider web and get creative with making a fun spider web skirt (I'll share more details on that below).

So here's why this theme is so fitting. Anyone who has a small breed dog knows what it's like when they "try" and show their superiority haha. Jaycee will act so tough for the funniest reasons. She'll bark and growl at just about every pup she comes across. She loves to "scare" away our Mailman and the UPS carrier. She's just nine pounds of pure, ferocious fluff lol.  She also loves to show her superiority to Madeline. It's kind of a "I was here first, just so you know" type attitude haha. Madeline loves to act all dramatic with Jaycee. When she barks and growls, Madeline loves to act scared screaming and running away. So, "along came a (puppy) spider who sat down (and growled) beside and frightened Miss Muffet away" was just so fitting :)

I also wanted to talk a little on how I made my skirt. So, I used the same tying tulle method that I've used in the past to make table skirts for Madeline's birthday parties and my costume last year (see a tutorial here). This year I used both black and glittery black tulle. I believe I used about four rolls of the solid black tulle and three of the glitter, alternating the strands (three black then one glitter). For the band, I used this ribbon. It works perfectly for tying the tulle through the holes in two layers. I would tie one on the bottom, then one to the top, then one to the bottom, etc. in a zig-zag type method. Here's a tip for the band: when measuring it out for your waist, make sure that you measure it an inch or two smaller. The weight of the tulle will stretch out the band and you won't be able to keep it up.

After the skirt was finished, I tried it on to make sure it was the length I wanted it to be. I also trimmed the edges to make sure the tulle was all even. Next, I unraveled a package of this decorative stretchy spiderweb and made sure it was all smoothed out, making it look as natural as possible. I basically just unrolled it on the floor. Then I laid the skirt in the spider web and loosely wrapped the skirt in it. After that, I trimmed off the excess. Next I spent quite some time making sure the web was all evenly dispersed around the skirt. I didn't want it to look clumpy in any areas and smoothed it out/trimmed it where needed. Then, I used a hot glue gun to glue the glittery spiders around the front of the skirt (mine came from Hobby Lobby). And lastly, I lightly tacked the spider web to the waistband of the skirt (the tied portions of the tulle strands) to make sure the web was securely tacked. I was so surprised to see that my skirt made it through traveling, a costume contest, photos, and Halloween. These skirts are so much fun to make! You can get so creative and basically make a skirt to go with any theme.

I hope y'all had a happy Halloween and got lots of candy. If you dressed up or planned costumes for your little ones, I'd love to hear what y'all dressed up as.

Have a great Thursday!
