Happy Wednesday and Happy Halloween!!! I hope y'all are having a spooky good day so far :) I'm so excited for tonight! When I was getting Madeline to bed last night, she made me promise her that it would be Halloween when she wakes up haha. She was so excited this morning! She gets to dress up for her ballet class tonight and of course has lots of fun in store tonight. I absolutely can't wait to share our costumes with y'all on my Instagram tonight.

Now for a little on today's look. I absolutely love sweater dresses. I could wear them every single day in the fall and winter. Every year, I make it my mission to find a bunch of cute ones. I got so excited when I found this ADORABLE color block sweater dress! The combination of the little blue, ivory and rust is absolute perfection. I think it's just the cutest thing. Can y'all believe it's only $40?! The quality is amazing. It's currently in stock in all sizes as well. I'm wearing it in the size small. It is more of an oversized fit. If you're on the petite side like I am (I'm 5'2), I love the way it looks belted for a shorter, more fitted look.

I also want to mention my new booties. I have been on the hunt for the perfect brown pair for the longest time. I absolutely adore these with with slouchy details. I also love the fact that the shaft is a little higher than your normal bootie and a little shorter than knee high boots. They are also the perfect shade of brown that will go with everything! They run TTS.

I hope y'all have the best Halloween! Thanks for stopping by :)

Hello friends and happy Tuesday! I hope y'all are having a great week so far. Today I'm so excited to share a look that I wore this past weekend in the mountains. We had such an amazing time and especially enjoyed the cold weather. It was extra chilly and so much cooler than what we've been having at home. One of the days was super rainy and it was amazing to see the leaves turn so much more vibrant the very next day from all the rain. It was fall perfection haha!

Now for some details on today's look. And yes, I'm very aware that I basically look like a walking fall leaf haha. It's no secret that I love mustard yellow and also chenille! This mustard chenille cable knit sweater is like a dream come true. I absolutely adore it! It's the softest thing and pairs perfectly with jeans or a skirt. It's under $60 and runs TTS. It also comes in the most gorgeous shade of blue. Next up is this plaid scarf that I love. First of all, it is more on the light-weight side, making it easy to wear and doesn't feel like you're being choked. The colors are so gorgeous and vibrant! It pairs nicely with all the fall colors: yellows, browns, tans, oranges, reds, etc. It's under $30! And thanks to the scarf, I was able to wear this chenille beanie with the scarf and sweater. It's under $20.

The last piece I have to mention from today's look are my over the knee boots. Y'all, I have been searching for the perfect pair for the longest time. The Stuart Weitzman boots have been my dram boots, and I have been looking for a similar pair that doesn't drain your bank account for years. Well, these are them! I don't think I've ever been so pleased with a shoe purchase. They're under $150 and are so similar to the almost $800 Stuart Weitzmans. I think I'm going to order them in black as well. A few things. One, they run TTS (I ordered the 38 and love the fit). Two, The shafts did feel a little tight when I first tried them on, but they stretched some once I wore them and feel more than perfect now. And lastly, just a heads up, if you do order them you have to be a little patient. Mine took three weeks to come in, due to the fact that they're made to order.

I hope y'all enjoyed this post! Madeline and Jaycee had such a blast in the mountains as well. Highlands is such a dog-friendly town, and Jaycee just pranced around like she owned the place haha. Madeline also had so much fun. She started a fall leaf collection and wanted to pick up just about every vibrant fall leaf she found.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Brown & Black for Fall + How to style a Baker Boy Hat

This faux suede (or suedette, as they call it) button up dress is too darling for words! I love the style and fit so much. Just a heads up, it does run a little small as it's a bit more form fitting. I sent the 0 back for a 2 and am so happy with the fit. It's only $37!

Happy Friday, Friends! I hope y'all are gearing up for a great weekend :) We have our Halloween costume contest tomorrow evening. I'm so excited! Jaycee and Madeline's costumes are ready. I was working on mine until late last night and will be putting the finishing touches on it tonight. Better late than never, right?! I'm so excited to share them with y'all next week. We won first place last year, so we'll see what this year brings. Overall, it's so much fun to participate.

I'm really excited about today's look. I'm all about trying out new things. I think it's important to step out of your comfort zone here and there, when it comes to style. Hats are definitely a way to do that, for me. I remember when I purchased my very first beanie! I was so scared to wear at first, but now I own too many to count and love wearing them. I used to feel so silly in a hat, but now I have learned to love wearing them. Today I am styling my first ever baker boy hat. Although I was pretty skeptical at first, I absolutely love it now. They are certainly on trend, and I think they're so fun! I have seen them styled a variety of ways. But when I was putting this look together, I felt like a baker boy hay would be the perfect touch. This one is perfection! It's under $30 and has the cutest rope detailing.

Now for a few more details on this look. I have been on the hunt for more pieces that I can style for church or if I have a reason to dress up more. Dresses and skirts have of course been my go-to for this. This faux suede (or suedette, as they call it) button up dress is too darling for words! I love the style and fit so much. Just a heads up, it does run a little small as it's a bit more form fitting. I sent the 0 back for a 2 and am so happy with the fit. It's only $37! Of course it needs something layered under it, and I love pairing it with a turtleneck sweater as I have it here. This one is under $40!

What pieces have you styled that encouraged you to step out of your comfort zone? I'd love to hear! I hope y'all have a great Friday!

Hello friends and happy Thursday! I hope y'all are having a great week. We arrived in the mountains last night, and its so cold! I love it though, especially with the warm fall we have had. It's crazy because usually the leaves here have already turned and are gorgeous! Some have usually already fallen off the trees by now. But this year, they have just started changing! It just shows that it has been such a warm fall. Anyways, I'm so excited for these next few days in one of my favorite places. We have our annual Halloween costume contest this weekend that we always participate in, and I'm so excited!

It's no secret that I love skirts. Yes, I do love my jeans, but I'd wear a dress or skirt every single day if I could. Today I'm so excited to share one of the cutest fall skirts I've ever seen. Like EVER! How absolutely darling is this plaid faux-wrap skirt?! I love the colors of the plaid: blue, orange, brown and ivory. I also love the fact that it's a faux-wrap style! It zips up the back but I love the asymmetric wrap detail. My favorite part of all is the big gold hammered detail buttons. Y'all they're GORGEOUS! Photos simply don't do this skirt justice. I loved it online but when it arrived, I fell in love with it so much more. It's under $60. I went with a US size 4 for this one as I like to tuck my sweaters into it and this brand tends to run a little small (the 4 fits like a 2, and the 2 fits like a 0). However, if I were to only tuck a thin top into it, I probably would have gone with the 2. I just like having a little extra breathing room :)

I also love that you can style this skirt so many different ways. I have it paired with the prettiest orange slouchy sweater that's only $45! It's so easy to work with. This is how I like to casual down a skirt for everyday: by front-tucking a sweater into it for an effortless look. It's also a great skirt for church or work! You could tuck a turtleneck into it and add a faux fur vest. Or throw a blazer on with it. So many options! I simply couldn't recommend it enough.

What's your favorite way to wear a skirt for fall?! Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Friends and happy Tuesday! I hope y'all are having a great week so far. We are off to the mountains later on this week, and I'm so excited! It is my very favorite time of the year to visit there. I'm hoping to see some gorgeous leaves. It's going to be pretty cold as well, and I couldn't be more excited. I have made so many memories with Madeline there over the past few years, so it's so special to visit again each year. I looked back at photos there from last year and absolutely can't believe how much she has changed in just a years time! She has grown so much, and her sassiness has as well haha.

I'm so excited to be sharing this fun fall look with y'all today. It's no secret that mustard and olive are two of my very favorite colors for fall. I love pairing my favorite fall colors together. Although I think that mustard and olive coordinate well together, this plaid scarf really pulled the entire look together. I saw this gorgeous scarf online and absolutely fell in love with the colors. When it arrived, I fell in love with it even more! I immediately knew that it would be more than perfect for pulling an olive green and mustard yellow look together for fall. It's light-weight and so easy to work with. Oh and it's under $25! The colors are so vibrant. This faux suede skirt is one of my very favorites. It's under $30! I also have it in brown, and it comes in four colors. It's soooo pretty and soft. I'd say it runs TTS. I'm wearing the size 0 and love the fit. Next up is this mustard yellow sweater, which I love! It's under $70 and also comes in ivory. What I love about it is that it's higher in the front and longer in the back. Being asymmetrical, it can easily be front-tucked into jeans or a skirt as I have it here.

If you're planning family pictures any time soon, finding a fun scarf like the one I have here can help so much! Not only does it pull the skirt and sweater I'm wearing together but it also coordinates with Madeline's look. Her little dress is such a great, easy one that I also couldn't recommend enough. It comes in several colors. And her mustard bow is my very favorite one that I've found for her. This bow shop has my favorite bows of all time! As I was saying, a vibrant scarf can help to pull together the looks of your entire family.

If you have any family photos planned soon, I'd love to hear about the looks you've put together. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Tuesday :)

Hello friends and happy Friday! TGIF! I hope y'all are gearing up for a great weekend. We have some fun fall activities planned that I'm so excited for. Speaking of fall, it is finally starting to feel like FALL! Cooler temps have finally arrived, and I couldn't be happier. Yesterday, Madeline and I spent a lot of time outside doing all her favorite activities. After a few minutes, I said "Madeline, we're not sweating!" haha. I'm so ready for the cool weather to be here for good.

Now for a little on today's look. I'm taking a tiny break from all of my rust, burgundy and mustard yellow (all my favorite fall colors) to share some pink and black for fall. I'm pretty much obsessed with corduroy and have been finding some of the best corduroy pieces. It all started when I came across this darling cord ruffle jumpsuit for Madeline. It's under $30 and is too adorable for words. I also LOVE this shade of pink for fall. P.S. I would say that this one runs a little large. I ordered one size down for her, and it fits perfectly.

Next, I found this cord pini dress for myself. I had been wanting one in this style and again, I absolutely love this shade of pink. I thought it would coordinate nicely with Madeline's little jumpsuit. I would definitely say that this dress runs TTS! It's under $60. Sizes are limited with this one, however sizes do come back in stock all the time. So if you're wanting it, keep checking back :)

I loves both of our pieces paired with black for a pink and black look. I found both my plaid shirt and her black tee (only $6) from Old Navy. I absolutely love shopping there. Her kitty flats have been a favorite of mine for two years in a row now. I adore them! I was also so excited to see that they brought them back again for this year. I have the Charlotte Olympia pair for myself, so I love that we can twin. And my black boots are a staple for fall and winter! They're pointed toe and absolute perfection. I highly recommend them if you're searching for the perfect black boot. They run TTS.

Well that's about it for today! I hope y'all have a great weekend. Be sure to follow along on my Instagram to see what we're up to this weekend. One of the tasks is to make my Halloween costume! Jaycee and Madeline already have theirs, so now I'll be making mine to coordinate with our theme. Wish me luck!

Delightfully Yours,
