Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope y'all are having a great week so far. I don't know about y'all, but I am so over the heat. I feel like it just drains your energy! Madeline absolutely loves to play outside and could be out there all day long. From swinging on her swing set, swimming and riding her scooter, she would be just fine doing absolutely nothing else for the entire day haha. But with the heat, the pool seems to be the best option. I can't believe we are almost to August. I also can't help but think that fall will be here before we know it. I love summer, but I also look forward to all the fun that fall brings. October and April are my two favorite months out of the entire year, so the fact that October is only two months away makes me super excited :) How about y'all?
Today I'm back to share another transition look with y'all. I can't stress this enough. If you do not own a denim skirt, get yourself one asap and thank me later! It will be your best friend as you transition your wardrobe over to fall. I get so much use out of mine throughout the spring, summer and fall months. You can do so much with it! And it truly is the best piece to help you transition both from winter to spring and summer to fall. This one is under $60 and is perfect for all of you petite girls. I'm 5'2 and absolutely love the length. Be sure to go by the US sizing for this one, not the Eruo sizing. I also love this one with the buttons up the front.
Next up is this adorable striped top. It is actually called a cardigan, but I most definitely would consider it to be a top. It's light weight and so perfect to wear now and transition with. What I love about it other than the cute style is the fact that the stripes are all of the perfect colors for fall...olive green, mustard yellow and deep pink. You can also pair it with white to give it a more summer look for now. It's under $70 and runs TTS.
This is the last week of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! A few of the pieces I'm wearing are part of the sale. My mules that I am absolutely obsessed with are on sale and come in several colors. My MCM bag is also part of the sale! I can't believe my Tory Burch watch and my necklaces (also part of the sale) are still in stock. And lastly, Madeline's ADORABLE little cargo dress is part of the sale. It is the perfect transition piece for your mini. P.S. I absolutely love Madeline's expressions in these photos. She was smiling at her good old friend (that goes everywhere with us) Kermit the Frog from the Muppet Babies :)
I hope y'all have a great Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by!
Happy FriYAY friends! So excited for the weekend :) Do y'all have any fun plans? It's so warm out that all you can do without sweating to pieces is jump in the pool haha. Madeline certainly isn't complaining. But I have to say that by about the time August hits, I am so ready for fall! We definitely have a warm next two month ahead, most likely, but I look forward to all the fun that fall brings.
Speaking of getting excited for fall, I always start looking for the perfect transitional piece this time of the year. Mid-August to mid-September, you want to wear fall pieces but it's definitely too warm to do so. During the transitional period, I reach for pieces that are fall colors, yet they can be worn in the heat. Think olive green, beige/brown, burgundy, deep pinks and of course, mustard yellow, as I'm wearing here. I have always been and always will be a sucker for ruffles. When I saw this adorable ruffle top, I knew it would be perfect. It has the prettiest ruffle details on the sleeves and hem, is the ideal color for fall AND is only $40. Wear it now with white jeans and sandals. Transition it with jeans and mules. And wear it early fall with jeans, boots and a scarf. In Georgia, we still have warm days during October, so I know this top will be perfect for then as well. So many options with this little $40 beauty. I'm wearing the size Euro size 34 and it definitely fits like a size 0-2. So grab this one up for yourself, and you'll thank me later :)
I also have to mention my jeans. I purchased these distressed jeans the day before early access began. I tried them on and immediately fell in love! They're so soft, the perfect length (I'm 5'2) and have the absolute best distressed details. I especially love the distressing on the ankles. If I had known these jeans would receive the attention they did during the sale, I would have grabbed up a second pair! These literally flew off the racks, but the good news is that sizes are slowly coming back in. I'm wearing the size 25 for reference.
As mentioned previously, these mules are also part of the sale and I'm obsessed with them! They are on sale for under $50, come in a handful of colors and run TTS. They are seriously the best! I have already paired them with so many pieces, because this mustard yellow color is perfection! I wish I had also grabbed them up in the grey/white snake print and the rust suede as well. So if you see your size come in, grab them up!
Well that's about it for today. I hope y'all have the best weekend! Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope this week has been going great for y'all. You know that feeling of being determined to get something done no matter what?! Well that's how I'm feeling with this post haha. I didn't have time to finish it up this morning, and even though it's almost seven in the evening, I'm still determined to publish it. Better late than never, right?! :)
Anyways, y'all know that I am a sucker for anything with ruffles. This ruffle sleeve top is a must-have and is currently on sale for under $30! It comes in six colors and is still in stock in a ton of sizes. I'm wearing the XS regular, but I really wish I had gone with the XS petite as it does run a little large. I'm obsessing over this pretty pale pink color, but I love the navy as well. Pair it with jeans, and you've got the perfect transition look. I also think it will be so cute paired with boots and a scarf once it gets a little cooler.
Hey friends and happy Tuesday! Or TuesdayShoesday, I should say :) Because today I'm sharing all of my shoe purchases from the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I shared this same type post last year and received a lot of positive feedback from y'all. So that's why I'm here with it again for this year.
If y'all didn't believe me when I said that I purchase 90% of my fall shoes during this sale, then this should explain it pretty well haha. In this post, I'm going to be sharing some up-close photo of each pair I purchased, sizing details and how I plan to style them for transitioning into the fall and again in the fall. The good news is that the shoes have not sold out nearly as quickly as the clothing has, so there are a lot of sizes still in stock for the most part. I hope y'all enjoy!
The Vince Camuto Reeista Booties are most definitely my favorite bootie that I purchased in the sale. The are GORGEOUS! Everything from the silhouette, the color, the cut out details, the heel shape...they're amazing! They are on sale for $99 in this sale (reg. $149.95). They run TTS, I went with my regular size. I plan to style them with dresses, skirts paired with slouchy sweaters and of course jeans. These are a fall staple for sure! They come in three colors.
The 1.STATE Sisteen Half d'Orsay Leopard Pumps are a showstopper! I was in need of a new pair of leopard pumps, and these immediately caught my eye. They are phenomenal! In my opinion, leopard is a neutral. I absolutely love it paired with fall hues. Leopard + a good hunter green or burgundy is pure perfection. These beauties are on sale for under $60 (reg. $89). Such a steal! They run TTS. However, sizes are very limited in these and are going quickly. If you see your size, grab it up because it won't stay in stock. As I mentioned, I love pairing leopard with everything! I plan to wear these with jeans paired with cardigans and sweaters and also wear them with dresses to church.
The Sam Edelman Caprice Knee-High Boots were the very first item on my list to purchase from the NSale. I mean can you blame me? They're even more amazing in person. The color, fit and especially the heel are perfection! This boot is again a very popular shoe that has sold out quickly, so if you can get your hands on your size, grab them up! They come in black, red and taupe and run TTS. They're on sale for $149 (reg. $225). I plan to pair these with jeans + sweaters or cardigans and dresses.
The Steve Madden Trace Studded Mule is yet another adorable shoe for fall. These cuties have been quite the popular shoe, and again, sizes are limited. So, if you see yours come back in stock via returns, grab them up! They're on sale for under $50...YES! Under $50 (reg. $80)! Such an amazing buy. I could live in mules all year round. They are so easy and effortless. I love to pair them with jeans, dresses and skirts. I think they are especially nice for transitioning into the fall. Right now, I am loving pairing mules with my jean skirt. I add in a brown belt that pairs nicely with these mules for the perfect summer to fall look. These run TTS and come in several colors.
The BP. Brice Notched Bootie is one of those pairs I wasn't sure about online but fell in love with once they arrived. These adorable booties are so neat, because you can wear them with the flaps straight up, folded down or my favorite way, with the front up and the back flap folded down. This is especially great and gives you options if you're wearing skinny jeans with a longer inseam or cropped jeans. It basically looks like a few different pairs of booties in one. These come in four colors, run TTS and are on sale for $79 (reg. $120). They're the perfect basic bootie. I plan to wear them with jeans, of course, dresses and skirts.
I usually purchase a few pairs of athletic shoes during the NSale. Last year, I purchased two new pairs, and they lasted me perfectly throughout the year. They're getting kind of worn down now, so I took the opportunity to grab two new pairs with this sale as well. The PUMA Ignite Flash Evoknit Training Shoe is amazing! I simply can't believe they're still in stock. They come in both black and this gorgeous peachy/nude color. Both will go with pretty much everything! These are so comfy. They have cushioning in both the back of the heel and the tongue of the shoe, which I think is so neat. They run TTS and are on sale for under $60 (red. $79).
Who doesn't love the perfect, basic, neutral pair of nude suede sandals?! I certainly do! The Sam Edelman Orlane Sandal is just that. Gorgeous yet so versatile. I have already worn these too many times to count. They're perfect for summer and throughout the fall. Now, I have been pairing them with jeans, white jeans and dresses. And into the fall I plan to do the same. See the way I styled them with a romper here. They run TTS and come in black and a pattern style. They're on sale for under $80 (reg. $120).
The Yabba Wedge Bootie by Lucky Brand is simply amazing! I love these sooooo much. Like words can't even describe how much haha. I have never had a wedge heel bootie, and I'm officially in love with these. Something about the wedge heel adds the cutest touch. I opted to purchase these in the blush/pink color. They're absolutely the cutest! I love pairing them with dresses, skirts and jeans. This style comes in a handful of colors, but again has been a very popular shoe. Sizes have sold out so quickly, so if you see yours, grab it up! They're on sale for $86 (reg. $130). I wish I had gotten these in brown as well.
The Kristin Cavallari Charlie Studded Loafer Mule is yet another shoe I'm obsessed with for fall. The fact that these are a loafer style mule make them so unique and gorgeous. I am obsessed with the gold studded details all over the shoe. These are on sale for under $84 (reg. $130) and I'm shocked they are still in stock in every size! They come in two other colors. Since I wear so much gold jewelry, I love the fact that these are studded in gold. I plan to wear them with jeans paired with sweaters and cardigans during the fall.
The Adidas Flashback Sneaker is the second pair of athletic shoes I purchased in the NSale this year. I absolutely love the style of these shoes. I like to have both a pair of training shoes and a pair of running shoes since I do both. These also come in black. I think this color combination of the taupe and white is absolute perfection and will go with everything. These are on sale for $67 (reg. $90). Sizes are limited, so grab yours up if you see it! They run TTS.
$49! Yes, these beauties are on sale for $49! The Tonya Open Toe Mule is quite possibly my favorite shoe purchase of all. I have already worn them countless times since purchasing them. As if the price isn't already good enough, the style makes them even better. I love the silhouette of these. The chunky block heel makes them so easy to walk round in. I love them paired with jeans, white jeans and dresses. They come in four colors are run TTS. They have been selling out so quickly since day one of early access, so grab them up if you can.
