Happy Tuesday! Can y'all believe that we are just a week away from July 4th? The big question is, do you know what you're wearing?! To me, there's nothing quite as fun as pairing together a patriotic look. The most simplistic way to do this is to grab up a blue and white piece and mix in some red accessories.

Featured above are several of my favorite pieces to create a patriotic look, for both moms and kids (12-15 are for your mini me). It's a good thing that blue and white is such a hot color combination currently, so finding a blue and white striped, dotted, checked (and the list goes on) piece has never been easier! Putting together this post actually had me realizing just how much blue and white I have in my closet. Red accessories, such as sandals, bags and sunnies, are also currently very convenient to come by. Pair them with your blue and white look for a perfectly patriotic pairing.

Which piece are you loving the most?

Happy Monday! I hope y'all had a great weekend! We are officially back from the beach and goodness am I missing it! It's so hard to leave and think that it will be another year before you're back again. But you just have to keep on swimming, right? :)

Today's look is featuring my go-to style tip that I have come to love as a mom: separates!! I absolutely love buying up cute, breezy tops for summer to pair with my shorts and pants. I mentioned on here two weeks ago that I have fallen for high waisted pants and shorts. They're simply a mom's dream haha. These shorts are one of the two high waisted pairs I have purchased, and I LOVE them! They do have a button-up fly instead of a zip-up one, but that isn't as scary as it sounds. I actually love that they have this feature. And let me just say that this crochet top is even more adorable in person!! The crochet detailing is simply perfection. It also looks adorable paired with white denim, and I wore it with white shorts on our car ride home the other day. It just screams summer :)

Anyways, now that we're back home, I'm trying to line up some fun summer activities to do with Madeline. Do any of y'all have recommendations for fun summer activities with young children? It's so difficult to beat the heat this time of year, but I'd love to hear any ideas you may have :)

Happy Friday, Friends! I hope y'all have had a great week and are gearing up for an even better weekend! This is one Friday that I'm actually not excited to see because it's our last day at the beach, and we head home tomorrow. Our time at NSB is something that I'm always so sad to see come to an end. I have a special post planned for Something Delightful next week to share a little bit about New Smyrna Beach and why it holds such a special place in my heart. So stay tuned for that!

Now for a little bit on today's look. I have always loved a good nautical vibe. From rope detailing to a knot design, there's just something so refreshing about it! When I saw these shorts, I absolutely fell in love with them! After they arrived, I became even more obsessed. They are so cute and are made even more adorable by the knot rope belt that comes with them. You can actually take the belt off and wear it over dresses, skirts and other pairs of shorts. Of course, within days, these cuties sold out! I was actually able to find them still available here, and they are available in solid white here

I love them paired with this one shoulder ruffle top. And let me tell y'all, this thing has been on repeat lately. There's just something so versatile about a solid navy top. I adore it paired with white for a crisp, clean summer look. This top is under $60 and comes in a multitude of colors and patterns (including gingham!!). Well, that's about it for today's look!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing y'all a very happy weekend :)

Ahh it's officially here!! Happy first day of summer, y'all! If you're a Lilly lover like Madeline and myself, this day may hold an even more important title of "National Wear Your Lilly Day." Even though every day can be NWYLD, it's always so much fun to welcome the first day of summer with some vibrant colors and fun prints. No one does summer quite like Lilly P. There's just something so refreshing and welcoming about Lilly. To me, the silhouettes of the dresses to the bright, happy prints make you excited to put some Lilly on.

If I had to choose my favorite way to match Madeline, it would hands down be in Lilly. There's just something so special about finding a piece you love for yourself in Lilly and then discovering a tiny matching piece for your littles. I also hold on to these pieces for forever. I hope Madeline doesn't get embarrassed at all of our matching Lilly someday haha. But these matching sets are my favorite Lilly pieces that I've ever owned.

And as always, here are a few comments on what we're wearing. My gorgeous shift and Madeline's are both from Palm Village Augusta :) The print we are styling is "Multi Goombay Smashed" which is the funnest pineapple print. To me, there couldn't be a more gorgeous color combination! I'm wearing the Alexa Shift Dress. I will say that this dress runs a little small. I'm usually a size 0 in Lilly but opted for a 2 in this piece. It zips up the back, as well as in the front with the most gorgeous bamboo toggle. Of course, the gold fringe just makes it irresistible. Madeline is wearing the Little Lilly Classic Shift. What I adore about this particular Little Lilly piece is the crochet pineapples around the neckline...absolutely adorable!!! I also love that this shift is a soft, moveable fabric, making it perfect for everything from playing to going out to dinner. The toddler size 2 usually fits her perfectly in Lilly! But I have found that the pieces that come in an XS (size 2-3) usually run a little large on her. Anyways, I hope that helps if you've been eyeing either of these pieces :) And remember, Palm Village Augusta is just a phone call away(706- 922-0105) if you are looking for a particular piece.

How are y'all celebrating the first day of summer? If you're welcoming it with some Lilly, let me know! I'd love to hear all about it  in the comments below :)

Thanks for stopping by! I wish you all a fabulous summer.

Hello and happy Tuesday! I apologize for my lack of posting yesterday. Madeline and I went home for the weekend and flew back to Florida for a few more days. It was Madeline's first time flying, and with factoring in the delays of both of our flights and a very fussy toddler, we were worn out by the time we finally got back! Madeline had about ten meltdowns in the airport (and I may have had one or two lol), but we made it! Anyways, I hope y'all had a fantastic weekend :)

Since I have been at the beach for quite some time and have collected a few adorable swimsuits, I thought it would be fun to share one of my favorite beach looks on here with y'all. Let me begin with saying, please excuse my embarrassing tan lines haha. I had the idea of getting the perfect tan while down here, but that hasn't been as easy as I had planned haha. My time in the sun consists of chasing Madeline around, unless she's content under the umbrella or tent. But the time on the beach with her has been so much fun, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Chasing her around and seeing her fall in love with the beach has been the highlight of my trip.

Now for a little bit about the look...am I the only one who hates swimsuit shopping?! I probably ordered ten suits before finding one or two that I absolutely loved. Swimsuit shopping can be such a pain. Not to mention, I feel awkward in just about every swimsuit that I try on haha. One pieces used to always be a safe choice, but with them being ever so popular nowadays, some can be a bit too revealing. Anyways, I find it very difficult to find a swimsuit that I love. This one, however, checked all the boxes. I absolutely love the bright tropical print of this one. From laying out by the pool or heading off to some tropical destination, this one is perfection! The details in the front are fun without being too revealing. But what I love most is the back!!! It has the strappy appearance without dipping down too low. It's such a gorgeous suit! This kimono is also a favorite purchase of mine. It's under $40 and comes in several colors. The details are just fabulous! My older pair of Jack Rogers are my go-to shoe for my beach/swim looks. This pair has been well-loved for years and years. But they are still just as amazing (and much more comfortable) as the first day I wore them :)

Anyways, I hope y'all enjoyed this look! Let me know if you would like to see more beach/swim looks.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Friday! Something that will never grow old to me is a good scallop detail. In my opinion, no one does scallops quite like J.Crew. I was shopping for swimsuits for our beach vacation when I came across this scallop tunic. The funny thing is that it is actually meant to be a swimsuit cover-up! Although it would be an amazing cover-up, it also serves as the most darling dress! It isn't see through, and being 5'2, it hit me at the perfect length to be a dress. When wearing it as a dress, I decided to wear a white bandeau underneath. This scallop cutie is currently 25% off of $69 with the code YAYCLOTHES. It also comes in pink, but it looks like the pink may be a bit more see through. Anyways, I absolutely adore this entire look. How perfect would it be for the Fourth of July?! Add in a pop of red, and you'll have the perfect patriotic look. These red star earrings would be the cutest pop of red :)

I also have to share my obsession for my new favorite necklaces. If you've been following me on here for a while, you know how much I adore Kiel and Sarah and their amazing brand. The nautically inspired pieces are simply irresistible. I love layering dainty necklaces, and these from KJP are perfect for doing just that. I have had the Simply Pearlfect necklace for a few months and have worn it too many times to count. I recently received the Nautical Forever necklace and the Little Shellfish necklace (it has a little pearl inside the scallop shells...obsessed!). These pieces are so fun and perfect for adding a nautical flair to your summer looks. Sarah and Kiel also just recently announced the exciting news that they have a baby on the way! I have my fingers crossed that there is a KJP kids line in the near future :)

I hope y'all have an amazing weekend! Thanks for stopping by :)
