iPhone 6 Plus: Thoughts, Cases, Wallpaper, Etc.

Hello!  Hope y'all are having a great week so far.  Today I'm going to be doing some iPhone chatting.  Well, I did it.  It finally came time for a long awaited phone upgrade.  I went from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 6 Plus.  It took my eyes a bit to get used to the drastic transition in the size difference (seriously haha), but I loveee this phone.  I thought I would choose the iPhone 6 since I had only heard how large the 6 Plus is, but after playing with them (and seeing the difference in the camera quality), I decided on the Plus.  I am so pleased with it. It does remind me more of an iPad mini, but I personally like that.

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6
I was also a little worried about the selection of iPhone 6 Plus cases.  There are so many cute options, though!  I went to Best Buy since I knew they have Kate Spade.  I decided on the Isaac Mizrahi case (pictured above).  I also love the idea of a clear case like this one, since the back of the phone is pretty and gold.

Okay, now to the wallpaper apps I'm obsessed with.  As my friend, Jaclyn says, a new lock screen can make your phone feel brand new by giving it a different look (see more on her blog post).  I also attempt to match my lock screen to the case I have on my phone. So the two apps I'm loving for creating monogrammed lock screens are Monogram It and Monogram.  I definitely love Monogram more than Monogram It better because of the numerous Lilly and Vineyard Vines options.  And the fact that you can use glitter to create your monogram. But here's why I like having both apps.  See the flamingo one I put together?  The mingo wallpaper came from the Monogram It app.  You can save it to your phone then go to the Monogram app, upload it to that app, and monogram it with the cuter monogram options (like glitter) on Monogram.  It just gives you more options :)  I love both of these apps, though!

Have you ever tried out these apps?  What are some of your favorite apps on your phone right now?

P.S. I just have to say a big Happy Birthday wish to my best friend, my Mama!  I love you so much and hope your day is amazing and special, like you.

Sunday Inspiration

Happy Sunday, everyone!

As I mentioned before, I have been wanting to share some other types of posts. I know that my blog is mainly a fashion blog, but I often forget to acknowledge that it is also a lifestyle blog. I want to share more of the things that are meaningful to my life and hope to post on this type of idea once a week, if possible.  I hope you enjoy this post.

Back in October, I was given the book, Just Enough Light for the Step I'm On by Stormie Omartian.  I began to read it, but it wasn't until some time later that I actually began to read it.  I just want to say that it has touched my life in so many ways, and I highly recommend it.  Through reading this book, I have realized that reading God's Word really does offer us just enough light for the step we're on (I will go into more detail on what I mean by this in the posts to come).  I have also learned what it truly means to meditate on the Scriptures, spend time with God, and go beyond the facts of God by knowing Him in a more personal way.

I feel as though I have never taken God's Word to heart as I should have.  Over the past few months (and especially knowing that I have a daughter on the way), I have come to realize what it means to truly trust in God's Word.  I know that I must do this not only for my own well-being, but also that I may show my daughter and exemplify to her what it truly means to walk in God's light.  This book I'm recommending quotes one of my favorite verses in the first chapter:

I will bring the blind by a way they did not know;
I will lead them in paths they have not known.
I will make the darkness light before them,
And crooked places straight.
These things I will do for them,
And not forsake them.
 -Isaiah 42:16

This book has shown me that God does not have us follow a light.  He has us follow Him. And He becomes our light (John 8:12).

I hope you've enjoyed this post!  Talking about some of my favorite points in this book, the Scriptures I'm currently focusing on, and the things I'm learning are what I want to share in the posts to come. :)

Have a great day and stay tuned!

Rain Boot Bows

Dress: ASOS (similar non-maternity here), Vest: Talbots, Boots: Hunter, Boot Bows: Poppy Clips ℅, Necklace: J.Crew

I love rain boots.  If you follow me on Instagram, you may see how often I post a photo wearing them.  A few weeks back, Poppy Clips commented on my photo and introduced me to one of the cutest ideas I've ever seen…bows for your rain boots!  I've posted about Poppy Clips a few times in the past on my blog (see the post here), and they're absolutely brilliant!  I was blown away before ever hearing of their rain boot bows.  I'm obsessed to say the least.  They simply fasten to your rain boots with a magnet.  Aren't they the cutest?!

In baby news, as I mentioned before, I'm having so much fun shopping.  The first big decision was to decide on a color scheme for her nursery and pick out the bedding.  There have been so many big (yet fun) decisions to make.  The next decision (which I feel is a huge accomplishment) is to decide on a stroller.  I have been researching, asking other Moms, testing them out, and spending hours at Buy Buy Baby trying to decide on one.  The sales associates at Buy Buy Baby are probably sick of seeing me and my Mama there haha.  I've changed my mind six times now, but I think I've finally decided on my favorite one!  I'll share the ones I've been looking at very soon :)

Happy Monday and stay tuned!

Sweater Pairings

Do you ever get confused with trying to create the perfect sweater and button down pairing?  I came across this pin and automatically could see the amazing sweater + button down pairings in my head.  It's easy to get overwhelmed with what to pair with what, but this little hint of inspiration can help make the perfect pairing!  I especially love the idea of a navy polka dot button down paired with the purple cable knit!

Isn't this so fun?  What's your favorite sweater & button down pairing?

Cozy Sweater + Leopard Flats

Sweater: Nordstrom, Necklace: Kate Spade, Watch: Daniel Wellington, Bracelet: KJP, Bag: Kate Spade, Flats: Saks Fifth Avenue

I hope everyone is having a great week!  I've been excited to share this outfit with y'all.  I love this comfortable cowl neck sweater.  I purchased it right after Christmas for 40% off, and when I was linking it just now, I see that it's now 60% off.  These are my new favorite flats, too.  Adding a hint of leopard is one of my favorite ways to accessorize. :)

…

I haven't been as productive with my blog as I have planned to be recently.  I find myself being so exhausted by the end of the day that my productivity level seems to be gone by dinner time. But my favorite part of the day and what I love more than anything is to feel her sweet kicks.  She is such an active little girl :) I am having so much fun baby shopping, too!  I will be sharing some of my favorite purchases soon, including her (current) shoe collection.  Her nursery is coming along as well. I just found the perfect plush pink rug. I also have some new ideas for posts that I will be mentioning over the next few days, just to see what y'all think.

Have a happy Thursday and Stay Tuned!

Coloring A Rainy Day

Sweater: Nordstrom, Scarf: J.Crew (last year), Hunter Boots: Zappos, Bag: Kate Spade, Necklace: KJP, J.Crew Factory, Bracelet: KJP, Umbrella: One Kings Lane (here in pink)

Happy Sunday, everyone! It has been a rainy weekend, but it's always great to have an excuse to style some Hunter boots. As I mentioned in my last post, it has been difficult to find clothing recently that I love while allowing me to maintain my style. Styling a bump is fun but also can be quite the challenge. I have found several non-maternity pieces that I love (like the one I'm wearing in this post) on Nordstrom. Basic pieces that offer lots of ways to accessorize are always a good idea :)
