I'm back to blogging after taking a week break. Last week, I traveled to Newport, Rhode Island to visit
Sarah Vickers and
Brighton Keller. We had such a fun time! I absolutely love Newport and the beauty the Ocean State holds. The sunsets, the water, the boats…the scenery was just beautiful.
I loved visiting the Castle Hill Lighthouse and having lunch with Sarah and Brighton on the
lawn at Castle Hill Inn. The lobster rolls there were to die for! I feel like I ate lobster everything on my trip (lobster rolls, lobster ravioli, lobster mac and cheese, lobster everything), and I'm so happy I did! Castle Hill lighthouse was an amazing place to visit as well!
Sarah and Kiel took us to so many great places to eat! The first night, we ate at the
Safari Restaurant at OceanCliff. After dinner, we were able to get a snapshot of the super moon. It was just gorgeous that night!
I think the highlight of my trip was visiting the
Kiel James Patrick Factory. It is seriously so amazing to see. All of the hard work that Sarah and Kiel have put into Kiel James Patrick is simply incredible, and it was something to see in the factory. Words can not describe how fabulous it is.
We got to experience a gorgeous Newport sunset driving over the bridge back to Newport. Kiel pulled over, and we were able to get a few pictures. It seriously looked like a painting!
I enjoyed some shopping in Newport. Although the shopping isn't Newbury Street, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ended up purchasing the
Tory Burch Small York Tote and it was a great decision as I have been using it ever since…definitely a go-to bag! Brighton and I enjoyed chatting over lattes and pastries on a rainy morning in Newport.
We also ate dinner at Sky Bar at the
Clarke Cooke House in Newport. I absolutely loved the atmosphere with all the pink and green.
Loren Hope and her husband joined us for dinner. I was so happy to finally get to meet her as she is such a sweet, delightful person and SO talented too.
I will never forget the fun time I had in Newport. Blogging has brought about so many great opportunities, but I'm especially thankful for the friends I have made and connected with. A huge thanks so Sarah for inviting me up for a visit. But, I always love coming home to a warm welcome from Jaycee. She has her a shirt from
The Black Dog now.
…
I hope everyone has a great start to a new week. School starts back for me today (boo). It's still so hot out, and it just feels ridiculous to be getting back into classes. I never mind a change in routine, though :)
