Introducing...

Outfit #1: Dress: ASOS, Necklace: J.Crew, Boots: Tory Burch
Outfit #2: Dress: ASOS, Necklace: Kate Spade, Bracelets: KJP, Zappos, Shoes: J.Crew Factory

As promised, here are a few pictures introducing my bump, if you will :)  It has been a challenge finding clothes that fit my bump and especially my style.  But it has been fun exploring new clothing options.  Thank goodness for ASOS!  I feel like I live in leggings with an oversized sweater and puffer vest.  And at the end of the day, I'm ready to put on a cozy robe and cuddle up with Jaycee.  I'm excited to share some of my favorite outfits that incorporate my "bump style."  Ponchos have also become a go-to.

I also just wanted to say thank you for the sweet, supportive comments on my blog post and on Instagram!  They truly meant so much to me, and I appreciated each and every one of them.  This past Christmas was the best Christmas I have ever had.  Just knowing that I have a daughter on the way is such a blessing and better than any gift I could ever receive.  Words cannot describe how exited I am to meet her.  And did you notice her shoes?  All I can say is that she already has quite the shoe collection :) Thank you so much for following along!

Poncho Styling + A Special Announcement

Poncho: Anthropologie, Blouse: Target, Bracelets: Tory Burch, KJP, Ring: David Yurman, Boots: Tory Burch, Bag: Kate Spade

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I'm excited to share some news with you all today.  First off, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for reading my blog.  With 2014 coming to a close, I want to mention how much I love blogging.  I am thankful for the great response it has brought forth (especially this year)…the friends, the opportunities, and emails that have allowed me to connect with individuals that I would never have had the chance to connect with if it weren't for blogging.  These past few months I know I wasn't as consistent with blogging as I have been in the past, which leads me to say that I have been focusing on other things like my family and the fact that I'm pregnant!  I am going to be the Mama to a precious little girl this upcoming spring!  I am so very excited and grateful for the joy, laughter, and all of the other amazing things that will come along with being a Mom.  I can not begin to say how thankful I am for mine, and I just hope that I can live up to how amazing she is.  I am so thankful for the support from my friends and family over these past few months, and words can not describe how excited I am to meet my little girl!  I've always dreamed of having a little girl, and I am so thankful that the Lord has decided to bring her into my life now.  My heart is so full!  Life is truly a gift.

Thanks again for following along with my blog.  I look forward to seeing what 2015 brings for me and the new opportunities for my blog.

My last doctors visit with my biggest supporters! :)

Stay tuned for photos and bump styles!

Christmas Week Favorites

There's so much to love about the week of Christmas.  For me and my family, it's full of traditions that I look forward to each year.  From Christmas baking to watching my favorite Christmas movies, these are my favorite days of the entire Christmas season.  Here are a few of my favorite traditions:

Christmas Baking

My favorite treat to bake at Christmas time is rice krispie treats.  I always bake a fresh batch a few days before Christmas, because we would always leave them for Santa on Christmas Eve.  What I love about this recipe is that it has vanilla candy coating in it.  Here's the recipe.
  1. 4 cups of large marshmallows
  2. 1/4 cup of butter or margarine
  3. 4 squares of vanilla candy coating
  4. 6 cups of rice krispies cereal
Simply melt the first three ingredients together in the microwave for two minutes then take it out to stir.  Then put the mixture back in the microwave for one and a half minutes or until the mixture is melted.  Then stir in rice krispies cereal.  Then press mixture into a pyrex dish.  They're soooo good!

Christmas Movies

The week of Christmas, I tend to cram in as many Christmas movies as possible.  I love the classics, like A Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful Life.  My all time favorite has to be Elf.  But this year, I watched something that definitely is on my top favorites list.  It's a TLC special called The Secret Santa.  If you haven't seen it yet, you must watch it!  I don't want to give any of it away, but it is SO good.  I cry through it every time I watch it haha.  Here's a little clip!

Gift Wrapping

I always wait until the week of Christmas to wrap gifts.  I hate being behind, but I feel like I spend so much time shopping for the perfect gifts that I put off the wrapping until the very last minute.  I love getting creative with cute gift wrap.  Here are a few of my favorite ideas from Pinterest.

Cheese Fondue

Each Christmas Eve after attending the Christmas Eve service with my family, we have cheese fondue for dinner.  It's a tradition my grandmother started 30+ years ago, and it is something to look forward to each year.  I can remember hating it when I was young and my grandmother would always cook bagel bites for everyone who didn't like the fondue.  But now I love it and can't wait to eat it on Wednesday.

Delivering Gifts

The week of Christmas, we always deliver the neighbor gifts.  Last year, I had Jaycee (my trusty "reindog" haha) help me deliver them :)

Christmas Brunch

On Christmas day, my Mama always cooks a Christmas brunch.  It is always a treat to look forward to!  Along with several different breakfast casseroles, she always makes monkey break and french toast.  My favorite casserole she makes is a sausage and grits casserole.  Here's the recipe, if you're interested in trying it out:

  1. 1/2 Cup uncooked grits
  2. 2 Pounds mild bulk sausage
  3. 4 Cups extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  4. 4 Eggs, beaten
  5. 1 Cup milk
  6. 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  7. 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Cook and drain sausage, set aside. Cook grits as per directions on package. Mix cheese and grits in a large mixing bowl. Combine eggs, milk, thyme, and garlic salt in a medium bowl. Add a small amount of hot grits and mix well, then add to grits and cheese. Mix well and pour into a 13x9-inch baking dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator and let stand for 15 minutes before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour.

One other thing that I always look forward to is attending the Christmas Eve service with my family.  It is such a special time, remembering that Jesus is the true reason for the season.

What are some of your favorite things about the week of Christmas?

I've Got My Gloves To Keep Me Warm...

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

I love gloves, and the worst part is that I never seem to have a pair with me when I'm really wanting them.  I came across these cashmere cuties on NM Lastcall while going through my emails.  The bows (loveee) and ruffle details make them dainty and perfect.  They're also tech gloves, which I love.  I find it so annoying having to take my gloves off to use my iPhone.  All of these are super on sale, and there is still a way to get them in time for Christmas (spend $75 & receive free rush deliver with the code LCHURRY).  I'd love to see a pair of these wrapped up under my tree :)

Which pair is your favorite?
