To Top It Off...

Lately, my closet has felt like one huge confusing mess!  I have many outfit ideas that are paired up and ready to go, but the weather just doesn't want to cooperate.  It is just within the past few days that it seems like we are starting to experience a bit of fall weather in Georgia.  The temperatures are slightly cooler and the leaves are beginning to change (YAY!).  But it still isn't time for riding boots, sweaters and all that fun stuff.

I always try to plan my outfits for the next day a night in advanced.  A reason this has seemed so challenging is because the weather is so confusing and leaving the house in the AM for school and work through the afternoon left me questioning if my outfit was the right choice.  If you don't already follow Caitlin Covington's blog and her Instagram, you must do so now!  Seeing her style the Lilly Pulitzer Fall line has been such a help in outfit pairing.  I went to the Lilly store at Phipps Plaza tonight and put together some fun things with Caitlin's ideas in mind.

Here are some of the tops I feel are perfect for this time of year.  From basics to fun prints, the options are endless!
The Elsa Top (1 - 2 - 3) is perfect!  I love it with its easy breezy material.  Pair a Riley scarf with it now and wear it under a puffer vest later.
I love the Havana Top.  I chose it in Almond.  I feel this color will be a perfect basic top that will look lovely with gold jewelry.
The Conley Top and the Dune top are also ideal for some great styling fun.
These looks are not complete without a cute cardigan to top it off.  It may still be warm in the afternoons, but its chilly in the mornings and at night.  Plus, it's fall and even though the weather might not seem like it, dress for the season and throw on a cute cardigan.  The Daisy Cardigan in navy is the one I chose.
Lastly, top it off with a cute belt.  Some of these tops above (The Dune, Conley and Elsa tops) look wonderful with the My Beau Belt.  You can add it to the elsa to create a different look.

I'm so excited to style some fall Lilly this upcoming week.

Jaycee Turns Two!

Yesterday was Jaycee's second birthday. It's hard to believe how fast time flies. I can't believe she is two and come November, I will have had her for two years. We celebrated her day by dressing up, taking her to work and having her a birthday celebration with her favorite people and her dog cousins. She had her own doggie birthday cake, many presents and a home cooked turkey meal in her honor (LOL).  She is such a sweet girl, so I say she deserved every bit of it. Not a day goes by where I don't say "Jaycee, I'd be lost without you." The unconditional love our pets bring to us is one of the best things in life. Her sweet kisses and snuggly little self never fail to brighten my day. I can't believe my sweet baby is two!

Makeup Routine

We all have our daily makeup routines.  I don't wear a whole lot of makeup, just enough to enhance and polish my face.  There are certain products that I have been sticking to for years.  Here is a look into my makeup routine.

I start off with my foundation.  My favorite foundation is the Powder Foundation by Make Up Forever.  Then I apply my favorite powder: The HD Pro Finish Powder.  Both of these products are great for oily skin.

Then I start on my eyes.  I always use an eyeshadow primer.  My favorite is by Urban Decay.  It has a light shimmer and goes on without feeling heavy and sticky.  I also love the eye shadows by Urban Decay.  Midnight Cowboy is the color I use all over my eyes.  I also like to add a hint of pink (SWF) to my lids and a deep blue to the creases of my eyes (Radium).  My favorite liner is the Le crayon by Lancome.  I prefer brown liner, and I add a touch of glitter to it by lightly going over the liner with liquid glitter liner.  My favorite Mascara for two years and running: Smoky Lash by Make Up Forever.
My favorite blush is by Sephora Brand.  It lasts me forever!
My favorite lip stick is my Chubby Stick by Clinique.  The color lasts all day.  I always have one to keep with my makeup and one for my purse.  The Nano Liner by Sephora is the perfect match to my favorite chubby stick, Pudgy Peony.
When taking off my makeup at night, I like to use the Bi-Facil remover by Lancome because I have so many bottles stocked up from free gifts.  It is really great remover though!  Greek Yoghurt Sleeping Facial is great for your face once all your makeup is off.  It's nourishing and moisturizing.

That's about it for my makeup routine!  What are some of your favorite makeup products you use on a daily basis?

Well That Was Crafty!

Saturday has become my designated craft day, or at least I've tried to make it that.  What I'm trying to do is make Saturdays become my "Me Time" day where I catch up, clean up, and do something that helps me unwind.  That something is crafting if I have it my way.  Well, yesterday was perfect!  It was a lazy rainy Saturday (this may have influenced my paintings).  I was able to take a trip to Hobby Lobby to buy some other color paints.  I also picked up a new size canvas (6x6)…love them!  Here are my latest crafty productions.

Hunter Boots
A Rainy Day Set
The Shop Dandy Monogrammed Rain Jacket
This painting is for my cousin who loves whales…I thought the Vineyard Vines inspiration would be fitting.

I have also decided on a designated wall where I hang all of my canvases.  It's still looking a little shabby, but I will be sure to share once it starts to fill up.

Well that was crafty!

Fall Is In The Air

Top: Piperlime
Denim: Old Navy
Necklace: Vintage Find
Shoes: Ferragamo
Bracelet: KJP

The excitement of this week was most definitely seeing signs of fall.  The temperatures are still warm (not hot!) in the afternoons, but the mornings and nights are chilly.  I love it and love my chilly walks to class in the mornings.  I'm so excited to finally start enjoying a new transition of clothing.  The best is yet to come with the changing of the leaves and fall festivities.  What a happy time this is!

Shades of Fall

I am obsessing over the new Essie nail colors for fall.  They makes me want to get into the swing of fall even more.

My two favorites are vested interest and the lace is on.  I think those two colors are perfection and couldn't be any prettier for Fall.  I am crazy about cranberry, and that green makes me happy as well.  I only wish there was Gell polish in these shades!

What do you think of the new Essie Fall Collection?

Wish List Wednesday

My wish list for fall seems a mile long!  I am so ready for the cooler weather and to arrive in class not huffing and puffing from walking in the heat.  The changing leaves, cooler weather, pumpkins, and so many of the excitement that fall brings makes me add onto my fall wish list even more.

What I'm currently wishing for...
