Entertaining To a "Tea"

Yesterday, my mama hosted a bridal tea for my cousin who is getting married.  I always love events such as these…the planning, the food, the setting, finding the perfect outfit, etc.  I also have a love for antiques, so part of the preparations for this event included picking out the perfect silver trays, flatware, silver baskets, punch cups, and china. The tea was planned to a "tea." The food was wonderful, and the flowers turned out gorgeous. It was everything I hope to have in my future bridal parties.

The Arrangement

The monogram salad plates I gave her for her birthday were certainly a hit.

Delightful little open faced cucumber sandwiches with a dill spread and capers on top.

Adrian's Delight

Lemon Squares

A fine assortment of desert plates

Bacon pimento cheese spread on cornbread muffins

A fresh assortment of fruits

And I just have to share my outfit!

Is your mouth watering? It certainly was a splendid event. I took many notes from Mama for future events.

Stay Tuned!
