Happy Thursday, Friends! If you're headed to the beach or the pool, or maybe you're just ready for summer fun, then today's post is for you. I never thought I'd say this, but I have completely resorted to one-piece swim suits. There are so many cute ones out there that they all win, in my book. Whether it's a fun print, a cute strappy back, or a pretty detail in the front, I just haven't been able to resist some of these. Cute cover-ups definitely aren't difficult to find these days. Seriously, I love how pretty and effortless the ones above are. My ideal cover-up would be a lace see-through one that still "covers up" but doesn't hide the pretty details of your swimsuit underneath. Are beach bags not the cutest?! I got the middle one in navy last year and have enjoyed it so much again this year. The first one with the little pom-poms is next on my list! It's always a good idea to have a few wide-brim sun hats, as well. I just purchased the striped one and love it!

And don't get me started on the little teeny tiny swimsuits for the baby beach bums 😊 How adorable is that little pineapple printed one?! I also have to point one why I love the white + red stripes one. It actually snaps at the bottom like a onesie would. That was genius! I can't tell you how nice it is have that capability if you're trying to change a swim diaper underneath a wet bathing suit. But one thing I absolutely can't resist is teeny tiny swimsuits.

Also, Nordstrom is having their half yearly sale! It's too good to miss! So many of the items you've probably been eyeing (I know I have!) are marked way down! See a few of my favorite picks in the product widget below.

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I hope there's enough sunshine in this post to fill your day with an extra amount 😊 I absolutely love sunflowers, so I was super excited to incorporate these that I found into a post. This crochet trimmed shift dress is absolutely adorable! I was so sad to see that it is already sold out, but I have hopes that it will be re-stocked. I will keep checking, and if it does get re-stocked, I will be sure to post about it on my Instagram or Snapchat! Yes, I am now on snapchat (a little late to the game haha), so if you're on there, find me (username: rtimmerman)! Anyways, I linked some other adorable crochet detail dresses above. I love the crochet look. When this dress came in the mail, it made me think of this adorable little dress that my sister got for Madeline! I knew right off that we could coordinate outfits in these dresses. She was a little intrigued by the sunflowers, as y'all can tell. She kept wanting to pick the petals off haha! Her little personality just bursts more and more each day.

I hope y'all are having a great week so far! We're getting close to the (long 😁) weekend.

Giving Thanks

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever."
~ Psalm 118:1 ~

Happy Tuesday, Friends! I don't know about y'all, but I find myself talking to the Lord all throughout the day. I have said it before, and I will say it over and over again, I believe in the power of prayer! I love prayer time, and when I get my quiet time in the morning, that is what I always begin with. But what about all throughout the day? It may not be what is considered as "quiet time" (because let's be real, it is difficult to catch quiet time throughout the day), but I not only find it important but I also find it such a comfort to know that I can talk to God at any time of any day.

But what happens when I feel like I can't find the words to say? When this happens, I simply give thanks. The Bible tells us to give thanks in all circumstances. And goodness, is there so much to give thanks for! I always begin by saying "Lord, thank you..." and everything else that I'm trying to say just falls into place. Prayer is our connection to God, and what a powerful connection it is. It allows us to feel a deeper awareness of his presence. Sometimes I feel as if I have so much to pray for that I become overwhelmed and can't find the words to say. To me, this is the worst way to feel when connecting with the Lord, and this is exactly how the Lord does not want us to feel! So many times, I just have to sit back and remind myself that the Lord knows everything going on in my life. And I also have way too many things to give thanks for that I shouldn't become so overwhelmed in my prayer time. So, connect with God often through prayer and do not let all the things in life overwhelm you in your prayer time with God. Simply give thanks when you can't find the words to say.

I can already tell you a few things that I know you can be thankful for. You have a Heavenly Father that not only loves you more than you could ever imagine, but he also gave his only Son to die for your sins so that you can have everlasting life. What amazing promises we have through Jesus. And there are so many things to give thanks for.

"Lord, thank you for your unfailing love that is fresh as the morning and sure as the sunrise." Y'all how comforting is that?! A love that is fresh as the morning as sure as the sunrise. Just as we can count on the sun to rise each morning, we can also count on the Lord's love for us in the same way.

I like to put this invitation out there every once and awhile. As always, if y'all ever want to chat about anything with me, are in need of a verse to cling to, or ever have a prayer request you'd like for me to join in on praying for, please do not hesitate to shoot me an email

Dress (already sold out but similar here, here and here all for under $100) // Necklace // Sandals (only $74) // Karen Walker Sunnies // Tory Burch Robinson Tote // Statement Studs

Happy Monday, Friends! Today I'm sharing what to wear to a summer wedding. It is definitely "wedding season". I feel like several weddings have been occurring every weekend lately. When I saw this dress, I immediately thought it would be perfect to wear to a summer wedding. I just ordered it last week, and unfortunately it is already all sold out. I am going to keep checking to see if Nordstrom gets it back in stock and will let y'all (through my Instagram) because this dress is so gorgeous! It was less that $50 and the quality is amazing. But in the meantime, I've found a few other similar dresses (here, here and here) that would be perfect for wedding guest wear. Also, these shoes are my new favorite. They are pretty much identical to the Loeffler Randal Amelia sandals (that are well over $200), but these are $74! They are perfect for summer. And lastly, can y'all get over how gorgeous these hydrangeas are?! I gasped when I saw them 😍

Easy Drawstring Top

Happy Friday, Friends! Today I'm styling this drawstring top that will for sure be a go-to for me all summer. It's lightweight and so comfortable! It looks so cute paired with shorts as well. It is on sale for $39 through this weekend and some in five colors! I'm wearing the caribbean pink color, but I want it in white and the pale plum blossom color as well. The gold buttons add the perfect touch to it, making it easy to accessorize with gold accessories. Also, if you're a gold girl, you need these white + gold wedges. They will go with everything! They also come in a blush + rose gold combination that I love.

I hope y'all have a great weekend!

Banana Republic Maxi Dress

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I don't wear maxi dresses often, but when I do, I remind myself of how much I love them! For some reason, I always tend to think that because I'm on the more petite side (5'2!), I can't find maxi dresses to fit. But the secret is to look for maxi dresses that come in petite sizes (or just get the longer ones hemmed, but I always find that being a nuisance). I love this one especially because of the two slits up the front on either side. It adds such a fun feel to the dress! 😊

I hope y'all are having a great week so far! It's flying by for me. That may be because I'm counting down to Friday as my classes will be over for this semester.

Happy Monday, Friends! I hope y'all had a great weekend. I'm here today to help you decide on your next planner! I have been a huge fan of Emily Ley for the longest time. I have always enjoyed following her on social media (both her account & the Simplified Planner account) as she is such an inspiration both through the design world and also through her life as a mother. Seriously, if you want to add some joy to your newsfeed, follow her!

But I have also been a huge fan of her products. From her planners to her baby book, they are all amazing. The EL product line, to me, is all about simplifying your life and being bright and cheery while doing it. I love how in the back of the planner, you see the phrase "A standard of grace not perfection" printed. This is such an important reminder in life. We must remember that we are never going to be perfect, but there's a way to gracefully achieve the things you set out to do. As I said, the Simplified Planner is all about well, simplifying! I'm sure so many of you can agree that as a mother, it is important to be able to jot down every little thing that needs to be done throughout the day. There is a page for each. day. like the one above that lists every hour from 6 am to 9 pm. This is such a helpful way to simplify your day  ( not to mention, a longer list of things to check off 😊). I also love how there is either a Bible verse or an inspirational quote on each page. What I would say overall about the Simplified Planner is that not only does it help to simplify your life, but it also reminds you to be thankful, enjoy the little things, and not to stress when every little thing isn't accomplished. And can we just talk about the adorable prints of the new academic planners? I chose the Fancy Floral print. I have enjoyed my planner so much this past year and look forward to using this one beginning in August.

Have you ever owned a Simplified Planner?
