Happy Wednesday, Y'all! Sometimes, all I want to do is be comfortable. Yes, around the house, that calls for throwing on my go-to leggings with a sweater or simply sporting my favorite cozy robe haha. But what about when I've got places to go and don't want to look like a total bum? This look is just that, for me. I have been wanting a pair of comfy sneakers for forever to pair with easy looks, such as this one. But I was determined to find a pair that had a fun little touch to them, something feminine. Well, leave it to me to find a pair of ruffled sneakers! I think y'all have probably figured out by now that I absolutely love ruffles. I probably wear them about every day (oops). But they simply make me happy and add the cutest little details. I mean without the ruffles, I feel like this look would be pretty boring. This sweatshirt is also amazing and well under $100. The ruffle sleeves are definitely irresistible. It also comes in grey! My ruffle sneaks also come in four colors. And of course Madeline had to join in on the sneaker fun as I got her this little pair. She LOVES them!

Spring Finds

Happy Tuesday! Goodness do I love shopping for spring! The bright colors and adorable details get me so excited for the warmer weather (although spring does already feel like it is here...temps in the high 70s, all the flowers are blooming). But it's pieces like these that get me extra excited for a trip to the beach or some other warm destination. 

As for the pieces I have listed above, aren't they so fun?! I recently ordered that adorable striped, pleated peplum (twelve). I couldn't pass up a good navy & white striped top...add a pleated baby blue peplum and gold buttons on the sleeves? Yes, please! I also jumped on the scalloped one-piece swimsuit (one). I have always wanted the designer version but simply can't justify spending $300+ on a swimsuit. This one looks darling and is under $100! I recently ordered it, so stay tuned on my snapchat (username: rtimmerman) and Instagram Stories to hear more about the fit, once it arrives. Also, these block heel sandals (thirteen) are at the top of my wishlist! I have loved seeing different styles like this. My Mama actually recently purchased almost the exact same shoe, and they are extremely cushioned on the soles. I love hers, so I know this pair would be amazing as well (heads up, they run large so go down half a size). 

This phrase would be an accurate one for me this spring: "Give me all the pink!!" I feel like I am just automatically drawn to a good pink piece. How adorable are these special edition pink fringe Miller sandals (six)? I absolutely wore mine out last year and need to replace them this year. I also think a fun pair of statement earrings (seven) can make an outfit. There are so many cute pairs out right now. I think it is also a great idea to have a fun little clutch for those nights when you really don't feel like carrying a big bag. This little navy straw one with the pom-poms (eight) is only $40!

There are just so many fun pieces out right now for the upcoming season. Stay tuned because I can assure y'all that there will be more spring finds to share soon! :) What are you loving for this spring?

Happy Monday, Y'all! I hope it has been a great long weekend. I simply adore an outfit with a good, unexpected pop of pink. I had been on the hunt for the perfect pink sandals, and I'm pretty sure I have found them :) This shade of pink is such a pretty one, if you ask me. When I saw this dress, I actually imagined it paired with a pop of pink. There's something about pink & grey. This dress is a great transition piece and one to enjoy all spring long. And for just $53, you can't go wrong! Not to mention, it has a darling ruffle details. This is my favorite way to wear a pop of pink. Now to find the perfect pink bag...

I hope y'all are gearing up for a great week ahead. It seems like the to-do list is a mile long. There is so much to be done for the blog, for school and lots of phone calls to be made today! Mondays always seem to be manic, but this mug has been making me giggle. So cute for all mamas. I just love when I find mugs that have "true to life" phrases on them. My collection is growing!

Happy Friday, Friends! Today's post is all about the most perfect tote for all of your springtime travels.

A two years ago, I was introduced to Barrington Gifts. I had set out in search of the perfect bag for Madeline for all of our travels and fell for the most darling pink gingham checked duffle bag. That was the beginning of my love for Barrington Gifts. Both Christmas of 2015 and 2016, my Mama and I gave each other a Belmont Cabin Bag and a matching St. Anne Tote. We thoroughly enjoy alternating our sets for all of our travels. So, not only have the pieces from Barrington become my go-to bags for traveling, but they have also become my go-to gifts for giving, as well. We even surprised my grandmother with a Belmont Cabin Bag this past Christmas, so she is now a huge fan. 

Now if you have never shopped Barrington Gifts before, here's what you need to know. When I think of Barrington, the first thing that comes to mind is adorable bags in the prettiest colors and a variety of fun patterns. Thats right, choose the bag style, choose the color and then pick a print (I'm talking gingham checks, stripes, you name it). The options for personalization are endless as well. That's why I was so excited when Barrington asked me to review a piece from the new Spring 2017 line. Y'all it is pure perfection!

All I have to say is, PINK CHAMBRAY! I have always had a thing for a good chambray. But pink chambray? Yes, please! The St. Charles Yacht Tote in pink chambray is my new go-to piece. I don't think I have ever been more in love with a tote bag. I am also thrilled with how roomy this bag is. It holds so much, and is the perfect piece for all of your spring weekend getaways.

Happy Thursday! Today I thought it would be fun to change things up a bit and share some of my favorite makeup products. It wasn't until a little over a year ago that I started really "getting into" makeup. I became interested in what does what for your face and kind of got hooked on trying out new products. Now, I get so much excitement out of testing new products and feel like I've finally found what I call my "go-to" routine in makeup. I think what has made me learn the most about makeup is Youtube videos...countless Youtube videos. Whenever I have a question about a product or want to see how to use something, I just search it on Youtube, watch how it is normally used, and make up my own technique with it. Anyways, sharing beauty products with y'all is something I really want to start doing in 2017. I want to film some tutorials, and I promise the hair tutorial is coming! I'm in the process of seeing what I need to film a good video as it is something I have never done. If anyone has some tips on that, I could really use them and would so appreciate it :)

Now to the products...

I absolutely love the glow that this primer gives, especially during the summer time! I have been using it for about two years now and have yet to find one that I like better. It almost has a golden glow to it. It's very "radiant" haha. A tube of this usually lasts me anywhere from 4-5 months. 

This tinted moisturizer is another that I have been using for forever and continue to call my favorite. I wear the shade "nude." I feel like the coverage is great, and it is very breathable. A tube of this usually lasts me around 2-3 months. 

This 'Naked Skin' concealer is without a doubt my favorite. I wear the color "light neutral." I like to apply it to any blemishes that I may have at the time and always on my chin, below my eyes, above my brows and a tiny bit in between my eyes (at the top of my nose, basically). This tube usually lasts me anywhere between 2-3 months. 

This is what I use to blend it all in. It's basically a knockoff of the Beautyblender but for a fraction of the price! What I love about it is that it has a flat, sharp edge that's perfect for blending in under the eyes. 

If I had to choose a very favorite makeup product, it would be this translucent powder. I can't stress how amazing this stuff is. It's like a miracle powder. The look that it gives as it sets everything is amazing. I have always used a Kabuki brush to apply my powder (I've had mine for forever). I usually go through a thing of powder every 2 months since the container isn't that big.

I feel like this is a very important step in the makeup process. This overall helps my eyeshadow to stay in place and not sprinkle excess shadow all over my face as I apply it. This tube usually lasts me for about 6 months. 

I have tried many many eyeshadows, and this palette is my all-time favorite and the one I use for everyday looks. Somedays I won't use as many colors, but my go-to "warm neutral" look comes from this palette. It is soooo pretty, and the colors are perfectly pigmented. I especially love the crisp gold tone that many of them have. I also have this palette in the cool neutrals, but I use this one way more. 

I just started using this liner about a week ago and am hooked! It's basically a liquid liner in a pencil version (the applicator portion is like a sponge). I had been wanting to switch to a liquid liner but was a little worried about applying it. Since it is in a pencil, you have total control over applying it, and the best part is that it stays in place all day long!

This brow pencil is amazing because it is both a brush and a pencil. I always begin by brushing out my brows to the shape I want, then pencil them in. It is such an easy product to use! My only complaint about this is that I've had the brush portion break off several times, which is really inconvenient. But I continue to use it because I really do love it and recommend it. I use it in the color "caramel." It usually lasts me about 1-2 months. 

My brows are never complete without some brow gel. It is basically like hairspray for your brows...the finishing touch :) It holds them in place all day long and keeps them looking like you just did them. I love this stuff! It goes on clear. I've been using my current tube for about 3 months and haven't run out yet.

Don't you just love when you find a cheap mascara that you absolutely love?! Well my mama and sister introduced me to this mascara and I'm telling y'all, it's amazing! And for under $10 you can't go wrong. However, I do like to top mine off with this mascara (ignore the name lol) as it gives them a little fuller look. I usually use the cheaper one for about 2-3 months and since I don't use as much of the second one, I can usually get by with using it for about 3-4 months. 

I absolutely love this contour kit! It is amazing. I like to mix the two lighter shades on the second row to contour, and I add some of the lighter shades on the top row as a highlighter underneath my eyes. But I also use another highlighter (see below). I've been using the same couture kit for almost a year now and still have a good bit to go.  

This amazing illuminating bronzing powder serves as both my bronzer and my blush. I absolutely love it! I use it in the shade "Santa Barbara." It also has sort of a gold glow to it. One of these will usually last me about six months. 

So this highlighter is super cheap and absolutely amazing! Something so great for only $6? You can't go wrong. I like to add this as a finishing touch underneath my eyes, underneath my brow line, a little bit in between my eyes at the top of my nose and a tiny bit to my chin. 

I absolutely love this brush set. I use all three: one with concealer, one for contouring and one for highlighting. This brand has some of the best brushes for a great price!

My current favorite lip combination is the MAC lip pencil in "Hip 'N' Happy" and the MAC lipstick in "Angel". It's the perfect pink lip color (not too soft and not too bright) for an everyday look. I've also found that it matches most of the pink that I wear :)

Happy Wednesday friends! Say hello to the cutest little navy dress I have ever seen! Can you believe it is only $43?! When it arrived, I was blown away by the quality for the price. The ruffles across the front add the perfect feminine touch, and don't get me started on the sleeves!!! I will say that it is on the shorter side. I'm 5'2, and it hits me right above the knee. It's perfect for the petite girls. It also runs true to size (wearing a size 2, for reference). I just love the details of this ruffled piece. It is the most perfect little navy dress and is a great piece for now through the spring. I also love it paired with these peep toe booties! I can't get over the way they tie around the ankle, giving them the perfect "bow touch." Definitely a current favorite of mine.

The other day when I wore this look, it felt like a gorgeous spring day! In fact, it was so warm that we were just about sweating after taking these pictures. I'm starting to think that spring is here, and we've just skipped over winter? It seems like a chilly day will pop up here and there, but for the most part, it is remaining in the upper 70s with lots of sunshine. The flowers that normally bloom in March-April here are already starting to bloom, and I'm already starting to see pollen covering the top of my car (if you live in the south, then you know the joy of pollen haha). Anyways, it's only February and it seems like spring has almost sprung...

Happy Valentine's Day, Loves! I hope these pictures of sweet Madeline brighten your day. My heart was just about to burst while going through them :) Funny Story...She loves Peppa Pig and thinks that jumping in puddles is the absolute best thing to do. When we were taking these pictures, she decided that (yes, the sewer cap 🙊) would be the perfect pretend "muddy puddle" and started jumping on it. As gross as that thought may be, I just love her imagination as it never fails to entertain and make me smile. 

Anyways, I thought that "I Love You!" would be the perfect title for today's post, because when I look at Madeline, those three words immediately come to mind. I'm sure all of you mamas can relate, but do you ever just look at your child and think what did I do to deserve you?! Of course there are moments when you may just want to pull your hair out, but the love that flows from being a mama and the joy that children bring to life always outweigh any of the frustrating moments that come about. Especially as Madeline is getting older and starting to talk and make sense of everything, she is also becoming so affectionate. Last night, she walked up to me, wrapped her little arms around my legs and said "I Love You!" My heart just about burst. Even though she's only one, I know that our bond will always be a special one. I know that the love I have for her will only continue to grow. She is my heart and will always be my little Valentine. 

That also leads me to think about another love. That is one that the Lord has for YOU! Think about it, he gave his ONLY Son to die for you. Can you imagine that kind of love?

I think about how evident the Lord's love is for me, personally. I think about how the Lord loves me to have given Madeline to me. I think about his love that outpours from each and every situation. I can see it so evidently through many areas in my life and can feel the presence of his love...even when I look at the beautiful blue sky, a sunset on the beach, the majestic mountains in the fall, and the list goes on. His love is everywhere. He wants you to experience it and know just how loved you are each and every day.

So, maybe you have a different perspective of Valentine's Day. I tend to love it, even though I don't get into the romantic part of it haha, because pink & red, chocolate, flowers, hearts...what isn't there to love about it?! But if you have that different perspective, remember that there's a love you can be excited about each and every day of the year, and that my friends is the Lord's love. He loves you SO much.
