Ahh it's officially here!! Happy first day of summer, y'all! If you're a Lilly lover like Madeline and myself, this day may hold an even more important title of "National Wear Your Lilly Day." Even though every day can be NWYLD, it's always so much fun to welcome the first day of summer with some vibrant colors and fun prints. No one does summer quite like Lilly P. There's just something so refreshing and welcoming about Lilly. To me, the silhouettes of the dresses to the bright, happy prints make you excited to put some Lilly on.

If I had to choose my favorite way to match Madeline, it would hands down be in Lilly. There's just something so special about finding a piece you love for yourself in Lilly and then discovering a tiny matching piece for your littles. I also hold on to these pieces for forever. I hope Madeline doesn't get embarrassed at all of our matching Lilly someday haha. But these matching sets are my favorite Lilly pieces that I've ever owned.

And as always, here are a few comments on what we're wearing. My gorgeous shift and Madeline's are both from Palm Village Augusta :) The print we are styling is "Multi Goombay Smashed" which is the funnest pineapple print. To me, there couldn't be a more gorgeous color combination! I'm wearing the Alexa Shift Dress. I will say that this dress runs a little small. I'm usually a size 0 in Lilly but opted for a 2 in this piece. It zips up the back, as well as in the front with the most gorgeous bamboo toggle. Of course, the gold fringe just makes it irresistible. Madeline is wearing the Little Lilly Classic Shift. What I adore about this particular Little Lilly piece is the crochet pineapples around the neckline...absolutely adorable!!! I also love that this shift is a soft, moveable fabric, making it perfect for everything from playing to going out to dinner. The toddler size 2 usually fits her perfectly in Lilly! But I have found that the pieces that come in an XS (size 2-3) usually run a little large on her. Anyways, I hope that helps if you've been eyeing either of these pieces :) And remember, Palm Village Augusta is just a phone call away(706- 922-0105) if you are looking for a particular piece.

How are y'all celebrating the first day of summer? If you're welcoming it with some Lilly, let me know! I'd love to hear all about it  in the comments below :)

Thanks for stopping by! I wish you all a fabulous summer.

Hello and happy Tuesday! I apologize for my lack of posting yesterday. Madeline and I went home for the weekend and flew back to Florida for a few more days. It was Madeline's first time flying, and with factoring in the delays of both of our flights and a very fussy toddler, we were worn out by the time we finally got back! Madeline had about ten meltdowns in the airport (and I may have had one or two lol), but we made it! Anyways, I hope y'all had a fantastic weekend :)

Since I have been at the beach for quite some time and have collected a few adorable swimsuits, I thought it would be fun to share one of my favorite beach looks on here with y'all. Let me begin with saying, please excuse my embarrassing tan lines haha. I had the idea of getting the perfect tan while down here, but that hasn't been as easy as I had planned haha. My time in the sun consists of chasing Madeline around, unless she's content under the umbrella or tent. But the time on the beach with her has been so much fun, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Chasing her around and seeing her fall in love with the beach has been the highlight of my trip.

Now for a little bit about the look...am I the only one who hates swimsuit shopping?! I probably ordered ten suits before finding one or two that I absolutely loved. Swimsuit shopping can be such a pain. Not to mention, I feel awkward in just about every swimsuit that I try on haha. One pieces used to always be a safe choice, but with them being ever so popular nowadays, some can be a bit too revealing. Anyways, I find it very difficult to find a swimsuit that I love. This one, however, checked all the boxes. I absolutely love the bright tropical print of this one. From laying out by the pool or heading off to some tropical destination, this one is perfection! The details in the front are fun without being too revealing. But what I love most is the back!!! It has the strappy appearance without dipping down too low. It's such a gorgeous suit! This kimono is also a favorite purchase of mine. It's under $40 and comes in several colors. The details are just fabulous! My older pair of Jack Rogers are my go-to shoe for my beach/swim looks. This pair has been well-loved for years and years. But they are still just as amazing (and much more comfortable) as the first day I wore them :)

Anyways, I hope y'all enjoyed this look! Let me know if you would like to see more beach/swim looks.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Friday! Something that will never grow old to me is a good scallop detail. In my opinion, no one does scallops quite like J.Crew. I was shopping for swimsuits for our beach vacation when I came across this scallop tunic. The funny thing is that it is actually meant to be a swimsuit cover-up! Although it would be an amazing cover-up, it also serves as the most darling dress! It isn't see through, and being 5'2, it hit me at the perfect length to be a dress. When wearing it as a dress, I decided to wear a white bandeau underneath. This scallop cutie is currently 25% off of $69 with the code YAYCLOTHES. It also comes in pink, but it looks like the pink may be a bit more see through. Anyways, I absolutely adore this entire look. How perfect would it be for the Fourth of July?! Add in a pop of red, and you'll have the perfect patriotic look. These red star earrings would be the cutest pop of red :)

I also have to share my obsession for my new favorite necklaces. If you've been following me on here for a while, you know how much I adore Kiel and Sarah and their amazing brand. The nautically inspired pieces are simply irresistible. I love layering dainty necklaces, and these from KJP are perfect for doing just that. I have had the Simply Pearlfect necklace for a few months and have worn it too many times to count. I recently received the Nautical Forever necklace and the Little Shellfish necklace (it has a little pearl inside the scallop shells...obsessed!). These pieces are so fun and perfect for adding a nautical flair to your summer looks. Sarah and Kiel also just recently announced the exciting news that they have a baby on the way! I have my fingers crossed that there is a KJP kids line in the near future :)

I hope y'all have an amazing weekend! Thanks for stopping by :)

Happy Thursday! Todays post features the sweetest little dress that gives an overload of pastels. Nothing better, right? I absolutely love soft shades and pastels, especially pinks and blues. This dress has my heart for several reasons. First off, it's light weight and so perfect for the summer heat. When I say light weight, I'm saying that it's breathable. What's so great about that is that it can be dressed up enough for going out to dinner, wearing it to a summer wedding, when going on vacation, etc. all while remaining comfortable. It can definitely be dressed down and made more casual as well. As I mentioned, I'm also in love with the sweet pastel color scheme of this dress. And lastly, I have to mention my very favorite detail: the mesh swiss-dot details. This gorgeous piece has swiss-dot mesh fabric inserted in several areas. It's absolutely gorgeous! I can't get enough of this dress. It's the definition of perfection!

Also, I recently purchased this fun, little straw bag. What I love about it is that it's more of an actual purse size! It's not so huge that you feel like you should be carrying beach towels in it. But it is large enough to hold what you'd usually be carrying around in your purse. Perfect for going out to dinner, running errands and so much more.

I hope y'all have a great Thursday and are having a great week so far! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Hello and happy Wednesday! Goodness I can't believe that we are already half way through the week! I am SO excited to share this look on here today because I love it so so much. There are those certain looks that just make you feel excited. They are the ones that you find yourself wanting to wear over and over again. Well, this is one of those for me! I can't begin to describe just how much I love this top. First off, it is my absolute all time favorite shade of pink. Doesn't it just make you so happy!? I have to mention that it is under $60 and comes in several color options (but hurry because sizes are selling out fast!!). I next have to touch on the style for a bit. If y'all haven't noticed, tie-front tops are popping up everywhere, and I absolutely love them. I also have this white one and this blue one. I seriously can't get enough! Ever since I decorated Madeline's nursery in gold and pink, I have always loved that color combination. So, I immediately fell in love with gold accessories for this look, like this straw tote, these gold sandals, and my gold monogram necklace.

Next, I have to mention my new found love for high waisted denim. Maybe it's the mom style in me coming out haha, but y'all I'm absolutely obsessed!!! From high waisted white denim to high waisted denim shorts, I simply can't get enough. I feel so much more comfortable when wearing these compared to a pair of denim with a regular rise. I don't have to worry about my skin showing when leaning down to help Madeline, picking her up, sitting down, etc. Needless to say, I'm officially sold. I absolutely love this Madewell pair. I also purchased this pair of white high waisted denim and these high waisted denim shorts. Are you a fan of high rise denim? :)

Well that's about it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope y'all have a great day.
