50 Gift Ideas for Men for Every Guy on your list - The Traveler, the chef, the griller, the organizer, neat men's gift ideas - Something Delightful Blog

If you're still in need of some gift ideas for the guys in your life, I've got you covered in today's post :) Here are 50 gift ideas for all the guys in your life. In this list, I've included gifts for all age ranges, lots of different interests/hobbies, and most of them are affordably under $100. I am gifting many of these gifts above to the men on my list. I will list some categories of these gifts out below:

The Traveler

If your guy loves to travel, there are quite a few ideal gifts on the list. #4 is perfect for traveling organized with all the device chargers. #5 is also great as it is so many contraptions in one pen. #17 is great for traveling with watches. I love the #18 personalized backpack along with the #22 and #24 personalized luggage. I feel like headphones are a must have for traveling as well #49. And I never leave the house, especially when I'm traveling, without my portable device charger (#46). #9, the 50 States 5000 Places book is also a great book for a traveler. And I had to include #28, the scratch map to mark off all the places traveled to. Perfect for the world traveler!

The Sports Fanatic

If your guy is into sports and has a favorite team, definitely check out the Hover Helmet (#44)! I have one as a gift last year, and I'm giving three this year! They're SO cool. They come in pretty much every college football team, pro football team, baseball, hockey and more. The college team dart cabinet is also really neat and a fun surprise for the sports fanatic. It also comes in several team options. And I just had to add #27, this mini putting green pen set haha! My brother for one, loves gold and is a college student. I think he will love having this while studying. So cute!

The Music Lover

If your guy loves music, set of headphones (#49) are a great idea for sure. Have y'all ever heard of a "Kilamba" or a "Thumb Piano" (#39)? I hadn't until last year, but they're the coolest thing and make a great gift. My brother is an amazing pianist, so I have him one last year for Christmas, and he LOVES his! My dad isn't a pianist but just loves music. I gave him one for Father's Day, and he loves his as well. It isn't difficult to play at all, but makes the coolest sound! Another great gift for the music lover is an in-shower waterproof speaker (#40).

The Chef/Grill Master

I feel like so many guys fall into this category! Whether it's experimenting in the kitchen, a love for cooking or just being the ultimate grill master, I featured several gift ideas above! #29 the ultimate grill set, #30 grill lights for grilling at night, #34 the ultimate spice set, #35 meat shredders, #33 a breakfast sandwich maker and more. I have a set of #31, the corn cob strippers, and y'all they are such a life saver and another great gift idea. I also thought #32 is a great gift idea and so useful for draining pots.

The Well-Dressed/Well-Groomed Guy

I had to include a few closet staples. I'm giving a pair of men's Uggs (#15) to a guy on my list this year. Perfect for comfort and staying warm! #23, the Old Navy puffer vest is super affordable and amazing!!! Several on my list are getting these as well. I love both this corduroy jacket (#1) and this puffer jacket (#48). And of course I love this plaid tie (#45). and for the guy who takes pride in his facial hair haha, #20 the beard comb is a great one and also the in shower mirror (#43).

The Organized Guy

I feel like gifts for starting organized are great for the guys as well. #4 the charger organizer for traveling, #6 the key organizer, #8 the money clip wallet, #17 the watch box, #25 the charging dock for charging all devices in one place, and #38 the tie hanger.

All for Comfort

I also listed a few comfortable gift ideas. The Ugg robe (#16) looks amazing, and a guy on my list is receiving this one. #41, the ultimate cozy throw. And again, men's Uggs (#15).

Extra Neat Gifts

I feel like so many of these are neat gifts that are out-of-the-box ideas, but I thought I'd just list a few: #3 the shelf outlet (perfect for charring laptops), #5 the not just a pen pen haha, #6 the key organizer, #8 the money clip bifold wallet, #10 the best back massager (my dad says this is the best gift I've ever given him),  #11 the bluetooth scan tool, #13 the nail holder wrist band, #19 Yeti Coffee Mug, #25 multi device charging station, #27 mini putting green golf pen set, #28 scratch map, #31 corn cob stripper, #32 snap 'n strain, #38 tie hanger, #39 thumb piano, #42 car vacuum set, #44 hover helmet and more!

I hope these ideas are helpful for y'all :) Thanks for stopping by!

The Power of Gratitude

The Power of Gratitude - Something Delightful Blog

And Hello friends and happy Thanksgiving! Today is without a doubt one of my favorite days of the entire year. Family, friends, good food, and just enjoying the sweet company of one another. A day to reflect on all the things to be thankful for. If you follow me over on IG and tune into my stories over there, you may have seen that Madeline and I do a weekly verse. I have been creating a graphic for each one to share on there, and have loved hearing that some of y'all have been joining in with us to learn these (or is you already know them, take that week to meditate on them and understand them in a whole new way). And since today is Thanksgiving, I wanted to share this week's verse on here, one of my favorites. I also wanted to share a few thoughts on gratitude, the power of gratitude

I love this verse because it hits so many important points. Thanksgiving, praise and again thanksgiving. This year, I have really been teaching Madeline the important of gratitude/thanksgiving. It's one of the values I want to instill in her at a young age, because goodness is it an important one! And what has been so amazing is that while I've been teaching her the importance of it, it has resonated even more deeply with me. It's something we've been practicing together, which has been so fun!

But when we hear the word "Thanksgiving", the holiday is one of the first things that come to mind. But the beauty of it is that it's something we can and should practice all throughout the day, every day of the year. It's a quality that should go along with out nature. One that when others are asked to describe which qualities they see in you, thankfulness and gratitude should be on that list! It's such a powerful one that honestly won't just make a difference in your life but also has the ability to affect others as well. It's like a chain reaction! So with all this, I thought it would be fun to share a little bit on the power of Thanksgiving!

Gratitude is a way of life

When reading the Bible, it truly is amazing how many times we are instructed to show gratitude and give thanks. 1 Chronicles 16:34, Psalm 9:1, Philippians 4:6, Psalm 100:4, Ephesians 5:19-20, Colossians 3:17 and many more! And what we can take from these verses is that gratitude truly is a way of life. A way of life that not only holds a level of thankfulness but thankfulness to our Heavenly Father from whom all blessings flow. We are directed to "enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise." We are to give him thanks for all things, every day, throughout each day and praise him. I have gotten to where I love beginning my prayer time with thanksgiving, thanking the Lord for so many things and praising his holy name.  Even this has the power to impact your prayer time on a whole new level. It truly is amazing. Being able to recognize that each blessing, each answered prayer, everything that happens to us (good and the not-so-good, because "all things work together for good to those who love God") deserves a reaction of thanksgiving from us. And that is such a beautiful thing, because once your heart is one set on the importance of gratitude, all other things will fall into place. It is a mindset! And in all honesty, a heart full of gratitude and thanksgiving is something we owe to the Lord. It's a way of life. But the beauty of it is that it doesn't just have the ability to change your life and honor the Lord, but it also has the ability to affect others...

Gratitude is a chain reaction

Something I have found out to also be true is how gratitude doesn't only have the ability to work in your own heart but also in the hearts of those around you. When you confront someone with a grateful heart, that gratefulness has the ability to shine through and impact them as well. One way to do this is to show gratitude to others. If someone does a kind act for you, says something kind, has given you great service (maybe at a restaurant or in a store), give them a great big "THANK YOU." Let them know they're doing a great job! I have taught Madeline to say not only "thank you" but "thank you so much!" Another way to do this is to actively let others know how grateful you are for them. Whether it's sending a text, making a phone call, giving a great big hug, whatever...let them know how thankful you are for them, and remind them often. One more way I love to "share" my gratefulness with others is to give glory to God for all things. Recognize those things and share them! One way I like to do this is for example, when someone says, "how do you balance so many things?" I say, "with the Lord's help!" because goodness I know that is the only way. When you display this level of gratefulness to the Lord it has the ability to work in others as well. Gratitude is a chain reaction. Your gratitude has the ability to work in the hearts of others as you openly share your thankful heart.

The Power of Gratitude

The last thing I want to mention is just the overall power of gratitude. A grateful heart has the ability to cure all other feelings you may be experiencing. When I've had a bad day or things aren't going the way I'd like for them to, I think on all the many things to be thankful for. When I think on these things, my heart is instantly filled with so much joy and gratitude that it overpowers any other feelings I may be experiencing. And it's through this gratitude that a joy, only the Lord can give, is experienced. Gratitude is such a powerful thing that and when you learn to incorporate everything else into your life, all other things will fall into place. It is the groundwork for which so much joy will flow from.

I just wanted to share these thoughts with y'all today on some of the things I have gathered from focusing on having a grateful heart. It's a daily thing, it's something to share with others, it's an aid for the not-so-pleasant things in life, it's a mindset, it's a way to grow closer to the Lord, it's simply a way of life. And for that, I'm so grateful. I hope y'all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am so very grateful for each and every one of y'all!

Delightfully Yours,

Happy Thursday, friends! Yes, I know that we are a week past Halloween, but I didn't want time to get away from me without sharing a post on our Halloween 2019 theme. It all started with Madeline's desire to be Belle for Halloween. Each year, we participate in a Halloween costume contest in the mountains, usually a week or so before Halloween. It's seriously a group effort, but I honestly LOVE the whole family themed costume idea, so I guess you could just go ahead and say I'M HERE FOR IT! :) Of course Madeline and I were two of the characters, along with our pup Jaycee. And this year, my sister's dog (aka my fur-nephew), Charlie joined in on the fun as well. Madeline is just crazy about him and he also loves her so much. So with that, we knew he would be the perfect Beast. And if y'all were wondering, yes, we did win the contest for the third year in a row, actually haha. Madeline planned out what she wanted each us to be. She desired to be Belle, she appointed me to be Mrs. Potts, Jaycee to be Chip and Charlie of course the Beast. I love the way it turned out!

Now I have to go into a little bit of detail on why this theme has a special place in my heart as well. Growing up, this was one of mine and my sister's favorite movies. And "Tale As Old As Time" was one of our favorite songs to dance to. I can remember it so perfectly! Us seeing who could dance the most gracefully and dancing with out dad. When I hear of this song, I instantly think of me and Hannah. Fast forward to 2019, this same song was played at my Hannah's wedding back in March. The quartet of cello, violins and piano played "Tale As Old As Time" for the grandmothers and mothers to walk into and y'all...QUE THE TEARS! It was one of the sweetest moments ever. Madeline also loves t dance to this song and everyone was bawling haha. This song will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I also want to share this post because I did receive quite a few questions on our costumes: "Did you craft these", "Where did you find these", "Where did you find that teapot hat" and more. Unfortunately I just haven't been able to get back to all the questions. So, I thought this post would help! I did make one thing, but the bulk is from extremely talented individuals on Etsy. I also wanted to share this as a special thank you to them as well. I'll go through each below:

Belle

Madeline's Belle dress was crafted by Cathy of Primafashions. And y'all this dress is a work of art!! Just check out Cathy's shop if you don't believe me. If you're looking for a timepiece for your little girl. Whether it's for Halloween, an upcoming Disney trip (seriously don't waste your money on the dresses they have there), or if she simply loves to dress up as the princess she is, I couldn't recommend Cathy's shop enough. Cathy also went above and beyond! A pleasure to work with. I have never seen a Belle dress that looks so much like the actual Belle. This dress weighs several pounds with the layers upon layers of GORGEOUS materials! The golden velvet is absolutely gorgeous! And I know this dress will grow with Madeline because it has lots of stretch and length to it. The first time she put it on, I cried haha! It is too gorgeous for words! A keepsake for us as well! Cathy has many more costumes to choose from as well, Fancy Nancy, Tory Story, Cinderella, Frozen and more!

As for Belle's accessories, Amazon was the lifesaver! She picked out this crown (very impressed by the quality), these sparkly pearl detail flats, these shimmery tights and of course a rose. I also got her this bun hair piece to help achieve her Belle hair! We at first tried a Belle wig, but it honestly looked so ridiculous haha. Madeline's hair is a little too thin to do a big bun on the top like Belle, so we went with this faux bun which worked perfectly!

Mrs. Potts

My Mrs. Potts Dress is actually an apron haha! I purchased it from the Etsy shop, Sassyfras Collection. Again, and Renee is AMAZING and an amazing shop to work with! She has so many themes to choose from! Couldn't say enough good things about it! For underneath, I wore a white bodysuit, this tulle skirt for some poof and these pink tights

Now, for the teapot hat!!! Y'all at first I was very unsure about this hat. I paid more than I'd like to admit for it haha (and don't even get me started on the shipping fee lol). But Madeline and I both knew this Mrs. Potts hat would be the perfect addition to our theme. And I couldn't believe how many of y'all asked about it haha! I will say it's a pretty impressive hat. I purchased it from the Etsy shop, Foam Masks Art. It really is again a work of art and Anne was amazing to work with! When I purchased it, the shop owner told me it was her only one. If you're interested in it, I'd definitely reach out to ask if she has or can create another one. But since the shop was in Spain, the shipping was pretty high. My overall conclusion, if you want to stand out in the crowd, just wear a giant teapot on your head haha.

Chip

Jaycee dressed as Chip the teacup was the cutest sight to see! Is there anything cuter that a dog running in a giant tutu haha? Anyways, I purchased Jaycee's Chip from another amazing Etsy shop BeBaGo, and the owner was oh so helpful! She went above and beyond to help make it perfect for Jaycee. It's actually meant to be a headpiece for humans, but I told her my idea of turning it into a costume for my dog. She was super helpful, created it apart from the headband for us and even tried it on her cat to show me ways it may work haha.

I did make Jaycee's tutu skirt and sewed it onto a light pink dog t-shirt for the perfect fluffy dress! Then I simply sewed chip onto the back of the dress for the perfect Chip the teacup dog costume.

The Beast

My fur-nephew Charlie as the Beast was again the cutest sight to see, and he made the most handsome Beast ever. His love for Madeline and hers for him made them the cutest Belle and Beast pair. Although I again paid much more than I'd like to admit for his Beast costume haha, it was again a work of art! Photos don't do it justice! The structure of this piece, the materials used, the satin, vibrant colors and even the giant sapphire brooch on the front make it ever so eloquent. However, I doubt he will ever wear it again lol. I'm sure there are some more affordable Beast costumes available for pups, but this one it truly one of a kind and absolutely beautiful, which is how I wanted it to be! It is made custom to fit your pup. We got his mane off of Amazon. I had a difficult time finding one that would fit him, being a small little fella. So we actually ended up cutting it in half on the opposite end to make it where it didn't swallow him up, then just folded than end under! Overall, it worked out very well.

I hope this post has been helpful for any of y'all who had questions of our costumes! Even though we were dodging tornado warnings an hour before attempting to trick-or-treat, it was truly such a special Halloween and one I will always hold close to my heart! Madeline said it was the best one ever :) And I will forever bawl my eyes out each time I hear "Tale As Old As Time".
